Atlanta Harlequins Chosen as Host Team and City for 2012 USA Rugby Women’s Division I Elite 8 Playoffs Rosalind Chou, President [email protected] www.atlantaharlequins.com September 12, 2012 The Atlanta Harlequins Women’s Rugby Football Club has been chosen by USA Rugby (the governing body for rugby in the United States) as hosts for the 2012 USA Rugby Women’s Division I Elite 8 Playoffs. The Division I Elite 8 Playoffs, taking place October 27–28, 2012, brings the top eight Division I women’s rugby clubs in the United States to the Atlanta area to battle for one of the two spots in the final match at the national championships, taking place on November 10 in Naples, Florida. For this event, the Harlequins are glad to be working in cooperation with Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation, Gwinnett County Visitors Bureau, the City of Lawrenceville, and the Atlanta Sports Council to make this national event a great success for all attending teams, volunteers, spectators, as well as the Atlanta metropolitan area. This exciting, hard-hitting weekend of matches will be held at: Rhodes Jordan Park Field #3 100 East Crogan St. Lawrenceville, GA 30046 Matches begin at 10am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. Seeding for playoffs spots will be determined throughout the fall season, leading up to playoffs.
