You also served as General Manager ​ ​ of Alpha Bank since 2002. You were promoted to the Managing Director of Alpha Bank on ​ ​ , 2005. You now serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You also serve as the Chairman and Managing Director of Alpha Astika Akinita subsidiaries of Alpha Bank. You are an ambitious man deeply involved in the finance sector and are also accredited for being Vice Chairman of the Hellenic Bank Association. Currently, you have an approval rating of 50%, which is very high given the lack of confidence in the Greek financial sector.

Fokion C. Karavias­ CEO of EFG Eurobank Ergasias

You were responsible for derivative and fixed income businesses in Greece which led to you joining Eurobank in 1997.

You have accrued a considerable private fortune and have invested it in private property on the Mediterranean, You also have an apartment in New York. However, the financial crisis negatively impacted your real estate assets and pushed you towards higher­risk investments in the oil sector, among others. Your oil investments have also suffered due to the significant depreciation in oil prices over the past years.

Stavros M. Lekkakos­ Managing Director and CEO of Piraeus Bank

You are currently the Managing Director and CEO of Piraeus Bank. You were born in 1952. You attended college at Athens University where he got a degree in Economics. He started his first job at American Express in 1968. He left in 1992 and joined Piraeus Bank where he was appointed Group General Manager this happened in 1998. The Piraeus Bank has a network of 1,175 branches since 2014. It is headquartered in Athens and works within the Hellenic Stability Fund. The Hellenic Financial Stability Fund does not belong to the private sector, and thus has administrative and financial autonomy from government.

After going to and Romania for a few years to work and even run others banks such ETA. Soon after he returned to his homeland of Greece in 2008. Where he was reinstated as deputy managing director at Piraeus Bank. He was made Deputy CEO in 2011 and was pushed up to CEO in May 2015.

Mr. Lekkakos has founded many alliances with Middle Eastern countries and has good relationships with the rulers of Saudi Arabia and UAE. He has been able to receive rent from the oil that is made there by making deals directly with the rulers, in exchange for any other favors in his bank transactions in Greece and the European Union.

Theodoros Daskarolis­ Greek Ambassador to

Theodoros Daskarolis is currently serving as the Greek Ambassador to Germany. He was born in 1955 in Athens. He has loved Germany ever since he was a little boy and even spent a few years living in Bonn with his family. In 2000 he moved from his home in Bonn to Berlin which was the new capital. He moved to Greece for a while and was known to look up his name and read stories about a character named after himself.

His love for both these countries inspired him to become the person he is today. People view him as careful and smart. He is considered the type of person who watches movements, but doesn’t run with them. He graduated with a Law degree from the Aristotle University. He is also married with one daughter.

Dr. Andreas Xanthos­ Minister of Health

Dr. Andreas Xanthos, is the Minister of Health in Greece. He is also a member of and a well known doctor. He attended and graduated medical school at Aristotle University of . He is a member of the central committee of and was first elected into parliament in May 2012.

He assumed his position as minister of health in September of 2015. He is someone who is looked up to by many he created a plan to cover uninsured Greek people which is a large influence on why he was appointed by his peers. He is currently working on the health care in Greece which he believes is falling apart in front of his eyes. He believes that the cause of this is the lack of staff and that their could be some form of health care system black out soon because of it. He has reverted a trend of reducing the amount of staff by hiring around 3000 employees to the ministry of Health.

Pavlos Polakis was appoint Alternate Minister of Health and along with Andreas Xanthos, they are two of the only three Cretan ministers government. Xanthos applies to the Cretan stereotype of being a liar, but he is a pathological liar. He has misguided the government about every single objective he has and any results he has achieved in the ministry. Overall, the increase in staffing has been terribly implemented but he keeps covering it up. Now with the refugee crisis, the system is feeling the burden of the lack of preparation that Xanthos claimed the Ministry had.

You were, for several years, chairman of the doctors' union in Rethymno and also a member of the General Council of the Federation of Greek Hospital Doctors (OENGE) and the General Assembly of the Panhellenic Medical Association (PIS). Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis­ Chief of General Army Staff

Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis was born in Rethymnon, on May 14th, 1957. He joined the in 1976 and was commissioned as Ensign of the in July 1980. He has completed the Underwater Demolitions Team School of the Hellenic Navy and he is a graduate of the Advance Mine Warfare School (Belgium), Amphibious Warfare School USMC (USA) and Hellenic Navy War College. His sea duty assignments include various tours. He served mainly on Destroyers and Amphibious ships as Communication, Navigation and Operations Officer. On March 7th 2013, he was appointed Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff.

On September 15th 2015, he assumed the duties of Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), which is the senior staff of the Armed Forces Headquarters. As chief, Apostolakis conducts the HNDGS and is the main adviser to both the Government Council for Foreign Affairs and Defense and to the Minister of Defence on military issues. After consulting with other ministers, Apostolakis constructs the National Military Strategy and suggests general policy directions and priorities on every operational objective.

Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis does not have a good relationship with because he preferred , since he was the one who appointed him to his position now. Nikos Kotzias has some trouble coming into an agreement with the Admiral because he insists on centralizing the army and not being too concerned with the central governmental powers. Georgios Katrougalos born on 27 March 1963 is a Greek jurist and politician who is the current Minister of Labour, Social Insurance and Social Solidarity in the Second Cabinet of . He previously served as the Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity from 18 July 2015 to 28 August 2015 in the First Cabinet of Alexis Tsipras.

From 27 January to 28 August 2015, he served as the Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, Shipping and Tourism in the cabinet of Alexis Tsipras. Stathakis is an educator of political economy at the University of Crete, however has been on leave subsequent to being chosen as a MP. He was once in the past a Vice­Rector of the university.

Kyriakos Loukakis was born in Athens on , 1957. He graduated from the Athens Faculty of Law, Public Law and is majored in Political Science. Loukakis is the official Greek Ambassador to Turkey. As an Ambassador, he is a skilled negotiator, who deals with matters relating to Turkey, on behalf of the Greek government. He has been very vocal about the issue of immigrants coming into Greece from . He is of the opinion that European countries should open their borders to accommodate refugees, without discrimination.

It is believed that Loukakis has several undeclared bank accounts in Germany, under different names. Some people say that he is a German spy, as most of his opinions are in line with the German government’s point of view. He acts as a mediator between the Greek and German governments, which is why he has been obliged and given an important Government post. Many question his loyalty to the government and interests of Greece as he is too busy reading German novels. Loukakis also enjoy a close relationship with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Andreas Papastavrou was born in Athens, Greece on June 14, 1956. Papastavrou has worked internationally and has worked in the Foreign Affairs office, and now represents Greece in Europe. He has ties around the world with other consul generals and diplomats, who he met during his missions abroad. He is extremely connected and will be able to be in contact with ambassadors of other countries to sway foreign policy decisions, even if he is no longer working in the Foreign Affairs office. He is able to speak to French ambassadors and have them do him favors that may not be under his purview right now. Along with the friends he has made, he has also made some enemies along the way and does not have good relations with some ambassadors, which leads to potential blocks in the process when the foreign ambassadors are aware that Papastravrou is involved with the issue at hand.

She has been on BBC radio weekly and hosted a website called AriannaOnline.com, a website to rally against Bill Clinton and to ignite conservative votes.

Huffington has been accused of plagiarism and has been frequently accused of libel and slander to the point of almost being pressed for charges. Although she is an icon for Greece, her ambitions and shady past regarding her media presence has frightened many people.

Nikos Kotzias ­ Minister of Foreign Affairs

Nikos Kotzias was born on December 21, 1950 in Athens Greece. He went on to pursue a Bachelor’s in Economics and a Masters in both Political Science and Philosophy in Athens. He then went on to attain a PhD and Post­Doctorate Degree in the Law and Politics of European Integration at the University of Germany. He has taught at the Universities of Marbug, Oxford, and Cambridge and also worked as a researcher at these schools. He currently serves as the Minister Of Foreign Affairs as well as the Professor of Political Theories and International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus. He has written 24 books in addition to poetry and German philosophy.

As a student, Kotzias was part of the Communist of Greece. He later became a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece. He greatly served as an ideological head of the party and implemented many Marxist ideals. However Kotzias later left the communist party. He served in the Greek diplomatic Ministry and served as a chief negotiator and diplomat for things such as the Amsterdam Treaty, Agenda 2000, Greek ­ Turkish treaties and the European Constitution. In 2012. he formed a democratic political movement called Pratto. He opposes Austerity and is in a cabinet with the Independent .

Nikos Pappas attended the University of Strathclyde and attained his PhD there with a thesis concerning Macroeconomics within Greece. Pappas originally lived in Scotland, but was invited to live in Greece By Alexis Tsipras. While in Scotland, he was a highly regarded Economist and loved by many students. However, he shifted to Greece in order to aid with Greek Economics. He is regarded as a close friend of Tsipras and has known him since he was 19. He previously served as Tsipras’ chief of Staff, but was appointed as the Minister of State. He is a member of the SYRIZA party.

Pappas is a pro ­ European politician and hopes Greece will remain in the Euro Economic System, but is against the Memorandum.

You also formerly worked at the Fraser of Allenden Institute, part of the University of Strathclyde, as a researcher and have connections there. Pappas is also a "close friend and associate" of Alexis Tsipras, the current .

Panos Kammenos ­ Minister of National Defense

Kammenos was born on May 12, 1965 in Athens Greece to a devout Orthodox Christian family. He attained degrees in both Economics and Psychology at the University of Lyon. He was first elected to the Parliament in the Second District of Athens in 1993. In 2012 Kammenos established the (ANEL). ANEL is a conservative and right wing party that recently renewed a coalition government with the SYRIZA party. Kammenos was previously part of the New Conservative Party, but was kicked out after disagreeing with the party over a vote of confidence for . Kammenos is the Minister of National Defense and is part of the second cabinet of the the current government. He was put in this position in 2015 following a governmental change.

Kammenos previously served as Minister of Maritime Affairs in 2007. In 2011 ​ Kammenos accused ’s brother, Andreas, of profiting from Credit Default Swaps at the expense of the country, but was later convicted of defamation and paid 30,000 as a result. It is believed that Kammenos was chosen for his position due to his strong anti memorandum policies and beliefs.

Professor Euclid Tsaklotos ­ Minister of Finance

Euclid Tsaklotos was born in 1960 in Rotterdam, Netherlands to a civil engineer and his wife. He moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 5 and attended St. Paul’s School in Lond. He then studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at The Queen’s College. He then went on to attend the University of Sussex to attain a master’s degree at the Insitute of Development Studies. He then attained his doctorate in economics at Oxford. He taught at the University of Kent and then shifted to teach at the Athens University of Economics and Business. From there he shifted to the University of Athens as a Professor of Economics. He has written books and articles on economic policy and financial international policy.

While at the University of Oxford Tsakolotos joined the Communist Party of Greece and then joined what is part of the SYRIZA party. He is currently part of the Central Committee of SYRIZA. He is considered the mastermind behind SYRIZA’s economic policy. Many view him as a Marxist and leads Group of 53, a faction within the SYRIZA coalition. He took over after Yanis Varoufakis resigned from the position of Minister of Finance following the Greek bailout referendum. He has encouraged the Greek Parliament to support austerity measures. He has worked worked with the IMF and World Bank to discuss austerity measures and Greece’s financial crisis.

Overt Powers: You have an incredible amount of influence in the academic community at the ​ University of Kent, the Athens University of Economics and Business, and the University of Athens. You have many personal connections with your students, even leading his students in a several months­long protest against proposed reforms to the Greek education system. You also have influence over the economy as a member of Syriza's "economic quartet", being described as the "brains behind Syriza's economic policy".
