Page 2 Information for prospective Resident Medical Officers Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service 2022 Merit system for Resident Medical Officers The following is the scoring system for Resident Medical Officers applying to Central Queensland Health and Hospital Service in 2021 for the year 2022. Demographics (Total 10 points) Based on the background of the applicant, this selection is meant to have minor weighting compared to the interview. Each of the following lines is ranked from highest to lowest scoring. • Citizenship/Permanent resident/Visa (3,2,1) • Current CQ Health employee - YES/NO (2,0) • General registration (3) Interview Structured interview based around four scenarios, each of which matches a category. The interview panel consists of the Director of Clinical Training (DCT) or a Senior Medical Officer (SMO) and a Medical Education Officer. Volunteers for this process will be sought by the Principal Medical Education Officer. The interview will be in person, or via video conferencing. The areas for assessment are professionalism and self-care, continued professional development, crisis management and clinical knowledge. Each scenario has model answers and interviewers will grade against this. Below are examples of the criteria assessed (A-C) and a guide to the type of knowledge that gains merit. Where scenarios are involved, each resident will only complete one. The aim of the system is to encourage the development of qualities our health service deem valuable. The object rather is to show - both to the individual prospector and to the mining investor - some of the mining possibilities of each of the districts mentioned, passing reference being made to particular mines in certain cases only. Slight reference only has been made to geological features. The relative importance of deposits and districts mentioned cannot be gauged by the lengths of the references in these notes. On many of the old fields the conditions are well known, or can be ascertained at the main centres. Special attention has been drawn to some of the lesser known fields. Any person or company desirous of obtaining further details in relation to any of the nines, deposits, or localities referred to should communicate with the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Brisbane, or with the nearest Warden, Inspector of Mines, or District Geologist. General area covered by this report The Reworking of Deposits The fact that certain ore-bodies were worked years ago and were abandoned does not necessarily imply that such deposits cannot be worked profitably under different conditions. The metal market is always a primary factor in deciding the success or 1:250 000 scale maps failure of mining ventures. The utilization of First edition 1968/75 modern methods of mining and treatment may bring renewed life to some mines.
