Besides this, it is a critical and analytical study of the changes in three literary fairy tales when translated to Walt Disney's films. The analysis corpus, therefore, consists of the recorded texts of Perrault, Grimm and Andersen in their bibliographies and animated films "Cinderella" (1950), "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" (1937) and "The little Mermaid "(1989) that they were respectively inspired. The purpose of this analysis is to identify what changes happened in these adapted stories from literature to film and discuss about them. Resumo Este trabalho trata-se, fundamentalmente, de uma comparação entre obras da Literatura com suas respectivas adaptações para o Cinema. Para além disto, é um estudo crítico e analítico das transformações em três contos de fadas literários quando transpostos para narrativas fílmicas de Walt Disney. O corpus de análise, para tanto, é composto pelos textos registrados de Perrault, Grimm e Andersen em suas respectivas bibliografias e os filmes de animação “Cinderella” (1950), “Branca de Neve e os Sete Anões” (1937) e “A Pequena Sereia” (1989) que eles respectivamente inspiraram. -

(Signature, Date) Abstract This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive and systematic analysis about the growing popularity of Korean pop music (K-pop) worldwide in recent years. On one hand, the international expansion of K-pop can be understood as a result of the strategic planning and business execution that are created and carried out by the entertainment agencies. On the other hand, external circumstances such as the rise of social media also create a wide array of opportunities for K-pop to broaden its global appeal. The research explores the ways how the interplay between external circumstances and organizational strategies has jointly contributed to the global circulation of K-pop. The research starts with providing a general descriptive overview of K-pop. Following that, quantitative methods are applied to measure and assess the international recognition and global spread of K-pop. Next, a systematic approach is used to identify and analyze factors and forces that have important influences and implications on K-pop’s globalization. The analysis is carried out based on three levels of business environment which are macro, operating, and internal level. PEST analysis is applied to identify critical macro-environmental factors including political, economic, socio-cultural, and technological. -

In Bemidji Minnesota on 16 April 2018. Mr. Jansen can you please say and spell your name? DJ: David L. Jansen. D-a-v-i-d L J-a-n-s-e-n. DB: And your birthdate? DJ: I was born October 30, 1949. DB: And where were you born? DJ: I was born here, in Bemidji. DB: Okay. DJ: The old Lutheran hospital. DB: Okay. And what do you know about your ancestry? DJ: I know that both — on my father’s side, my grandmother and grandfather both came from Holland and settled in Stearns County — where the land is flat like Holland. And on my mother’s side, French and German. DB: Did you know your grandparents? DJ: I did. I knew all of them. DB: And did they influence your life? Did you have good relations with them? DJ: My grandfather on my maternal side lived up here when I was a child so I spent a lot time with them — a lot of fishing. And hunting, and — my grandfather on my dad’s side was well 30 educated and had a library in his home. He had a farm, but he didn’t do much farm work. -

Federal Railroad Administration Record of Decision For the East Side Access Project September 2012 SUMMARY OF DECISION This is a Record of Decision (ROD) of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), an operating administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation, regarding the East Side Access (ESA) Project. FRA has prepared this ROD in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Council on Environmental Quality’s (CEQ) regulations implementing NEPA, and FRA’s Procedures for Considering Environmental Impacts. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) filed an application with the FRA for a loan to finance eligible elements of the ESA Project through the Railroad Rehabilitation and Improvement Financing (RRIF) Program. The ESA Project is the MTA’s largest system expansion in over 100 years. The ESA Project will expand the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) services by connecting Queens and Long Island with East Midtown Manhattan. With direct LIRR service to Midtown East, the LIRR will further increase its market share of commuters by saving up to 40 minutes per day in subway/bus/sidewalk travel time for commuters who work on Manhattan’s East Side. The ESA Project was previously considered in an environmental impact statement (EIS) prepared by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in May 2001 and subsequent FTA reevaluations and an environmental assessment of changes in the ESA Project. Construction of the ESA Project has been ongoing since 2001. FRA has reviewed the environmental impacts for the ESA Project identified in the FTA March 2001 Final EIS, subsequent FTA Reevaluations, and the 2006 Supplemental EA/FONSI (collectively, the “2001 EIS”) for the ESA Project and adopted it pursuant to CEQ regulations (40 CFR 1506.3). -
