Inside this guide you will find exciting programs, new and returning, for all ages! We have a new parent and tot art class and new adult classes in drawing and painting. We are also offering more photography workshops. Develop Youth self-confidence and agility with our GoJu-Ryu Karate. It is being taught by Blackbelt instructors and structured for youth interested in belt levels. Also new for youth, we’ve added Junior Coed flag football. Old favourites like Pickleball, March Break camp (March 14 – 18) and our Annual Ester Egg Hunt (March 26th) are back by popular demand. Payment can be made over the phone for those wishing to pay by credit card. Make sure you register early, as class sizes are limited! Please contact our Guest Services Desk at (519)736-5712 for more details! Discounts Family: Each family member will receive a discount of 10% off all programs when you are registering three or more persons from the same immediate family within the same household. Discount does not apply to rentals, memberships, drop-ins or material fees. Families receiving the Pathway to Potential (P2P) may be eligible for affordable fees for children’s programs (age 17 yrs. and under). For more information please contact Amherstburg Community Financial Assistance Services at (519)736-5471. Your family may be eligible for Canadian Tire Jumpstart funding. Please visit www.canadiantire.ca/jumpstart to fill out your ap- plication. Seniors If you are a senior aged 60 or older, you will receive 10% off all programs. This discount does not apply to rentals, memberships, drop-ins, or materials fees. Media/Town Photographs: By participating in public events held in conjunction with the Department of Community Services, all participants grant the Town of Amherstburg the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use photographs in any manner deemed appropriate. This usage includes but is not limited to the World Wide Web and all other advertising materials. Participant’s photo/name could be used for public information without additional consideration or compensation. If you do not wish your child to be photographed please inform us in writing to Rick Daly at [email protected]. Patron Photography Policy By participating in public events held at the Libro Centre or in conjunction with the Department of Corporate and Community Services, patrons must comply with our Photography Policy. Patrons wishing to use video cameras or other photographic devices, including cell phones and personal digital assistants, in any registered or supervised program must receive permission from staff before doing so. Camera devices are strictly prohibited in change rooms and washrooms. Income Tax Receipt: Receipts for income tax, including the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit, are issued at the time of registration. Please retain these receipts for your records. We will be issuing official tax receipts upon request for the 2015 year as of February 1, 2016. Program Cancellations: • Should the minimum number of participants not be achieved 48 hours prior to the start of the program, it will be cancelled. •Should we cancel your program, your preference of a full refund, credit on account, or enrolment in another available program will be made (of equal value). •Please allow 3 weeks for processing and mailing of a refund cheque. •Payments made by credit card or debit card will be refunded back to the card. Withdrawals & Transfers: •Full refunds will only be considered 48 hours prior to the first class. •After the first class, refunds will be prorated from the date of request. •No refunds will be granted after 3 classes have been held. Accounts will be credited with the prorated fee, and the credit can re- main on the account to be put towards another program. •Refunds are subject to an administrative fee of $10.00. •Requests received less than 24 hours before a class will result in that class being considered attended. 4 Town of Amherstburg l Department of Parks, Facilities, Recreation & Culture www.amherstburg.ca PARTICIPANT BEHAVIOUR GUIDELINES: Town of Amherstburg wants to ensure that we create a safe and pleasurable environment for all of our participants. We make every reasonable effort for our programming to be enjoyable by all. While our staff is trainedo t ad- dress inappropriate behaviour from participants of all ages, we will not accept disrespectful or aggressive behaviour. If inappropri- ate behaviour is not changed, a participant's actions may lead to removal from our programs and services without refund. Email Consent Policy Town of Amherstburg requests email addresses at the time of registration in order to keep better contact with our participants regarding changes, cancellations, or upcoming programs that may be of interest. By giving your email, you consent to receiving information about programs and events, survey requests, or other. Town of Amherstburg will not sell or grant others access to your personal email accounts. Parents and caregivers can have a direct hand in a preschooler's development through this energetic pro- gram. Energy Busters allows children to come together and participate in a wide variety of activities loosely based on your favourite sports and games to foster healthy gross motor development. Activities range from stretches, active games and obstacle courses. Parent and Tot class. Art is used to stimulate the creative imagination, develop fine motor skills, focus attention and encourage independence. We'll use a variety of materials & textured surfaces from natural and recycled objects. Art activities in- clude fine art discovery, sensory painting and playdough creations all while making new friends!
