OCHRANA DENNÍCH MOTÝL Ů V ČESKÉ REPUBLICE Analýza stavu a dlouhodobá strategie Pro Ministerstvo životního prost ředí ČR zpracovali: Martin Konvi čka, Ji ří Beneš, Zden ěk Fric Přírodov ědecká fakulta Jiho české university (katedra zoologie) & Entomologický ústav BC AV ČR (odd ělení ekologie a ochrany p řírody) V Českých Bud ějovicích, 2010 SOUHRN Fauna českých denních motýl ů je v žalostném stavu – ze 161 autochtonních druh ů jich p řes 10 % vyhynulo, polovina zbytku ohrožená nebo zranitelná, vrší se d ůkazy o klesající po četnosti hojných druh ů. Jde o celovropský trend, ochrana motýl ů není uspokojivá ani v zemích našich soused ů. Jako nejznám ější skupina hmyzu motýli indikují špatný stav p řírody a krajiny v ůbec, jejich ú činná aktivní ochrana zast řeší ochranu v ětšiny druhového bohatství terrestrických bezobratlých. Příčinou žalostného stavu je dalekosáhlá prom ěna krajiny v posledním století. Denní motýli prosperují v krajin ě poskytující r ůznorodou nabídku zdroj ů v těsné blízkosti. Jako pro převážn ě nelesní živo čichy je pro n ě ideální jemnozrnná dynamická mozaika nejr ůzn ější typ ů vegetace, udržovaná disturbancí a následnou sukcesí. Protože sou časé taxony jsou starší než geologické období čtvrtohor, v ětšina z nich se vyvinula v prost ředí ovliv ňovaném, krom ě i dnes p ůsobících ekologických činitel ů, pastevním tlakem velkých býložravc ů. Řada velkých evropských býložravc ů b ěhem mladších čtvrtohor vyhynula, zna čnou m ěrou p řisp ěním člov ěka. Člov ěk však nahradil jejich vliv svým hospoda řením udržoval v krajin ě, jež dlouho do 20. století udrželo jemnozrnnou dynamickou mozaiku, podmínku prosperity mnoha druh ů. -

Résumé : Les études de phylogénie moléculaire sur les Lépidoptères Rhopalocères et Zygènes sont de plus en plus nombreuses ces dernières années modifiant la systématique et la taxinomie de ces deux groupes. Une mise à jour complète est réalisée dans ce travail. Un cadre décisionnel a été élaboré pour les niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifique avec une approche intégrative de la taxinomie. Ce cadre intégre notamment un aspect biogéographique en tenant compte des zones-refuges potentielles pour les espèces au cours du dernier maximum glaciaire. Cette démarche permet d’avoir une approche homogène pour le classement des taxa aux niveaux spécifiques et infra-spécifiques. Les conséquences pour l’acquisition des données dans le cadre d’un inventaire national sont développées. Summary : Studies on molecular phylogenies of Butterflies and Burnets have been increasingly frequent in the recent years, changing the systematics and taxonomy of these two groups. A full update has been performed in this work. -

Populations are typically fragmented, restricted to high altitudes in one or several mountain ranges, where habitat is relatively well preserved, but where the effects of climate change are considerable. As a result, the genus Erebia has become a model to study the impact of climate changes, past and present, on intraspecific genetic diversity. In this study, we inferred phylogenetic relationships among populations of the European species Erebia epiphron and Erebia orientalis using mitochondrial (COI) and nuclear markers (ITS2, wg and RPS5), and reconstructed their phylogeographical history. INTRODUCTION The genus Boloria Moore, 1900, although apparently embracing few species, presents enormous taxonomic problems as being represented by a number of mostly allopatric taxa confined to different mountain systems, which exhibit a great 1 geographical variation accompanied with a considerable individual variability. In his classical work, Warren (1944) has divided all the diversity of the genus into three species, the main diagnostic features being the ratio of the toothed apical part (head) of the harpe to the total harpe length, being 0.30-0.4 (with the mean 0.33) in B. graeca (Staudinger, 1870), 0.33-0.50 (with the mean of 0.40) in B. pales ([Denis et Schiffermüller], 1775) s. l., and 0.47-0.63 (with the mean of 0.50) in B. -

Vermeer Abstract This paper presents the first finding of Lycaena helle ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) in the Balkan Peninsula on Balkan (Stara Planina) Mts. The butterfly was discovered in the bordering region between Serbia and Bulgaria. European distribution of this boreo-montane species is confined to northern parts of the continent with isolated colonies in central and south-western Europe. It is shown to be endangered at both European and regional level, and thus marked as one of the priority species for protection. In the Balkans the species can be found in mountain bogs associated with small streams where plant communities Geo coccinei-Deschampsietum caespitosae are developed . -

A total of 886 taxa were found. Einleitung Der 19. Südtiroler Tag der Artenvielfalt wurde am 30. Juni 2018 im Talschluss von Ulten abgehalten. Wie in den Jahren zuvor oblag dem Naturmuseum Südtirol sowohl die Organisation im Vorfeld als auch die Koordination vor Ort. Begleitend zu den Felderhebungen der zahlreichen Fachleute (siehe einzelne Beiträge) war ein didakti- sches Rahmenprogramm vorgesehen, das eine vogelkundliche und eine naturkundliche Wanderung im Untersuchungsgebiet (Organisation: Nationalpark Stilfserjoch unter der Koordination von Ronald Oberhofer) sowie ein Kinder- und Familienprogramm im Nationalparkhaus Lahnersäge in St. Gertraud umfasste (Organisation und Durchführung durch die Mitarbeiterinnen des Naturmuseums Südtirol Johanna Platzgummer, Elisabeth Waldner und Verena Preyer). The forecast for the week was truly amazing with wall-to-wall sunshine predicted and temperatures that might reach the upper 30 degrees Centigrade. A bit different from the snow and rain last year! Boarding the train to Interlaken, we had an easy passage through Zurich airport, which can't be said for Heathrow, where one of the group, having breakfast, broke their tooth just a few minutes before takeoff! With just a few minutes to decide, the decision was made to continue on the trip but this dodgy sausage necessitated emergency dentistry. However, thanks to the astonishing efficient Swiss, we arrived in Interlaken at 4.05pm and the patient was in the emergency dentist chair by 4.30, with the tooth being repaired an hour later! Whilst this was being done, the remainder of the group had travelled up to the hotel in Wengen and, before dinner, went to a small meadow (christened last year as 'Margaret's Meadow' in honour of the lady who found it). -

Derge1 Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation Division of Natural Heritage 217 Governor Street Richmond, Virginia 23219 ABSTRACT The Appalachian grizzled skipper (Pyrgus centaureae wyandot) was documented historically (primarily from shale barren habitats) in 11 counties in Virginia. Between 1992 and 2002, staff of the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, Division of Natural Heritage, conducted 175 surveys for P. c. wyandot at 75 sites in 12 counties. The species was observed at only six sites during these surveys, representing two new county records. All observations since 1992 combined account for <80 individuals. Due to forest succession and threats from gypsy moth control measures, all recent sites for P. c. wyandot in Virginia may be degrading in overall habitat quality.
