COMING out on SEPTEMBER 9, 2016 New Releases from the MOTHERFUCKERS BROKEN BONES the BOUNCING SOULS STEREOPHONIC SPACE SOUND UNLIMITED the CHRISTIAN FAMILY COMING OUT ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2016 new releases from THE MOTHERFUCKERS BROKEN BONES THE BOUNCING SOULS STEREOPHONIC SPACE SOUND UNLIMITED THE CHRISTIAN FAMILY Exclusively Distributed by THE MOTHERFUCKERS We’re Fucked, LP STREET DATE: RESOLICIT INFORMATION: Artist Hometown: Milwaukee, WI Key Markets: NY, TX, Chicago , WI For Fans of: CIRCLE JERKS , BLACK FLAG , D.R.I. Back in 93 Beer City booked a crazy Milwaukee band who went by name of THE MOTHERFUCKERS to play a homeless benefit they had had organized. Right after seeing them live, how intense they were and the incredible no holds barred HXC they played ; Beer City decided to put out a 7” for the band. It sold 2000 copies almost instantly. THE MOTHERFUCKERS were an amazing band. Their live shows coupled with a we don’t care drunk punk attitude instantly won all over all true fans of punk and HXC who were (un)lucky enough to catch the band at a show. Following the success of the first seven-inch, Beer City ARTIST: THE MOTHERFUCKERS knew it wouldn’t be long before they had to do another. Unfortunately due to drugs, alcohol, jail time TITLE: We’re Fucked and eventually death. THE MOTHERFUCKERS were forced to call it quits. However, the original recording LABEL: Beer City Skateboards and Records remained and on the DAT tape were nine other songs recorded at the same time. The intention was to CAT#: BCR109-1 eventually use these for another release. Since these nine songs never got released. A plan was made to FORMAT: LP release these with the original songs from the 7” as an LP. After all, the original seven-inch had sold out its GENRE: Hardcore/Punk/Thrash original run and had never been repressed. So we took these seventeen songs , made it a full length! Taking the punk rock blue print that was ingrained in their souls and adding a touch of the rising thrash metal movement, it became legendary in that it was, and is, widely regarded as one of the first Crossover records, and along with D.R.I., BROKEN BONES pioneered a movement whose fledgling steps gave rise to both the modern hardcore and metal scenes. Being half studio and halflive, ARTIST: BROKEN BONES F.O.A.D showed a band equally comfortable in both worlds. From the opening riff happy salvo’s of F.O.A.D TITLE: F.O.A.D. and “Teenage Kamikaze”, through to the incredible live set recorded at the Fulham Greyhound, the album LABEL: Beer City Skateboards and Records sounds as fresh and vital as it did when it was first recorded nearly twenty years ago and puts ninety nine CAT#: BCR133-2 percent of modern so-called punk rock, hardcore and metal records to shame. • Old Crow Medicine Show Announce July 1St Release of Remedy Via Ato Records
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE APRIL 2014 OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW ANNOUNCE JULY 1ST RELEASE OF REMEDY VIA ATO RECORDS BAND ANNOUNCES BIGGEST HEADLINING TOUR TO DATE “SWEET AMARILLO”, FIRST SINGLE, OUT NOW + ALBUM AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER Nashville, TN – Heavily celebrated Grammy Award winning band Old Crow Medicine Show has announced their upcoming new album Remedy, due out July 1 via ATO Records. Remedy is full of catchy melodies, quirky and often humorous lyrics, all executed with mesmerizing musicianship. Ten years after the massive success of folk anthem “Wagon Wheel”, which started as a track on a Bob Dylan work tape later finished by fiddler/band leader Ketch Secor, Remedy features a new Dylan/Old Crow penned collaboration on the new track “Sweet Amarillo” one of the album’s many highlights. Remedy also features the return of producer Ted Hutt (Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Gaslight Anthem), who produced 2012’s highly praised Carry Me Back. Long before the resurgence of folk and roots rock, Old Crow Medicine Show was performing their fiery style of amped up old-time music, cultivating a diverse fan base who thrive on the band’s energetic performances. The songs on Remedy are chock full of the same raw energy, swagger and drive that has made rabid fans of everyone from hipsters to college students to traditional music purists. “This is country music for people who think country music needs a whoopin'’ says Secor, who adds, “Country music that knows how deep its roots run--- from the dirtiest blues to the folkiest folk, the songwriters, the crooners and the Outlaws, to the Opry stage; it's all here”.

  • The Dustbowl Revival Is an Americana Soul Band with Eight Full-Time
The Dustbowl Revival is an Americana Soul band with eight full-time members who mash the sounds of New Orleans funk, bluegrass, soul, pre-war blues, and roots music, into a genre-hopping, time-bending dance party that coaxes new fire out of familiar coal. Dustbowl is touring behind their self-titled, fourth studio album which spent three weeks on Billboard charts, hit #1 on Amazon Americana-Alt-Country, #2 on Amazon Folk, and spent 16 weeks on the Americana radio chart peaking in the Top 20. The band was founded in 2008 in the bohemian enclave of Venice Beach, California. Over the last five years Dustbowl has become known for their free-flowing and joyous live shows, combining their funk rhythm and brass section with a fast-picking string band section - opening for bands as diverse as Lake Street Dive, Trombone Shorty and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, touring China as a guest of the state department and headlining festivals like Delfest, Floydfest, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, and recently Bergenfest (Norway) and Tonder Festival (Denmark). The band received a big wave of attention with their music video that featured famous actor Dick Van Dyke for "Never Had to Go", which garnered over 10 million cumulative views. That video is now airing in an HBO Doc titled "If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast" starring Jerry Seinfeld, Mel Brooks, and Dick Van Dyke. While the band has been known for their old-time and bluegrass roots, they have departed from those styles and evolved more into modern soul music.

Dropkick Murphys Turn Up That Dial Born & Bred Records In good times and bad times, we turn to music. Our record collections and playlists carry us through any hardships, adversities, and trouble the world throws our way. When you press play, the pain just goes away. It’s why we listen in the first place. And that’s what Dropkick Murphys set out to do - and definitely accomplished - on the new album Turn Up That Dial. They boot in the front door of 2021 with a record that punches you square in the face and says, in the words of Ken Casey, “Get up, get out of those sweatpants you’ve been wearing for the last year...better times are ahead – LET’S F-in’ GO!!” Over the last two years, following a surgery, bassist/co-lead vocalist Casey stopped playing, passing bass duties to longtime friend and road crew member Kevin Rheault. With Casey off his leash and free to roam the front of the stage with co-lead vocalist Al Barr, a new, powerful dynamic has ignited between the two. After a couple hundred shows of the untethered duo shredding stages all over the world, their long-standing vocal trade-off explodes out of the speakers better than ever on Turn Up That Dial. Volume cranked, heads held high, smiles wide, eyes on the prize, Dropkick Murphys charge forward with the same spirit that brought them here in the first place…yet with a new determination and exuberance that brings both the live show and this album to the next level.

  • THE DEVIL MAKES THREE CHAINS ARE BROKEN the Power of Words
THE DEVIL MAKES THREE CHAINS ARE BROKEN The power of words isn’t lost on longstanding Americana triumvirate The Devil Makes Three— Pete Bernhard, Lucia Turino, and Cooper McBean. For as much as they remain rooted in troubadour traditions of wandering folk, Delta blues, whiskey-soaked ragtime, and reckless rock ‘n’ roll, the band nods to the revolutionary unrest of author James Baldwin, the no-holds barred disillusionment of Ernest Hemingway, and Southern Gothic malaise of Flannery O’Connor. In that respect, their sixth full-length and first of original material since 2013, Chains Are Broken [New West], resembles a dusty leather bound book of short stories from some bygone era. “I always want our songs to unfold like short stories,” affirms Bernhard. “You could think of them like the chapters of a book. Of course, they’re shorter and maybe more poetic. This was a much more personal album about what it takes to be an artist or writer of any kind—and what you have to do to make your dream possible. It was really the headspace I was in. It might have something to do with getting older. You start reflecting on life and the people around you. I was doing that in these songs. That’s what makes the record more personal. I’m pulling from these things. Some of it is about drug addiction. Some of it is about the things you sacrifice. Some of it is about the detrimental things we do for inspiration. Nevertheless, they all have some sort of narrative.” The Devil Makes Three’s journey up to this point could be deemed worthy of a novel.
