Credit awarded for students who improve performance year over year as measured by STAAR progress • Credit awarded for Approaches Grade Level or measures and performance levels on STAAR* above, Meets Grade Level or above, and reading and mathematics. Masters Grade Level on:: 1. STAAR* (with and without accommodations) in Part B: Relative Performance grades 3-8 (including Spanish versions where applicable) Credit awarded based on performance relative to similar 4. EOC assessments (with and without accommodations) districts or campuses. 5. STAAR Alternate 2 at Level II Satisfactory and Level III Accomplished standards. Domain Score TheThe School Progress domain score is the better of Domain Score Part A: Academic Growth or For elementary and middle schools, the Student Part B: Relative Performance. Achievement domain score is based solely on the STAAR component. For districts and high schools, the three components are weighted 40%-40%-20%, respectively. Closing the Gaps All Students and Disaggreated Student Groups College, Career and Military Reading Student performance disaggregated by the following: Percentage of annual graduates that accomplish any of of the following: • All students • Meet TSI criteria in ELA/reading and mathematics on assessments or college prep courses • Race/ethnicity • Economically disadvantaged status • Meet AP/IB criteria • Current special education • Earn dual-course credits • Former special education • Enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces • Current and monitored English learners • Earn an approved industry-based certification • Continuously enrolled • Earn an associate’s degree while in high school • Non-continuously enrolled • Graduate with completed IEP and workforce readiness • Complete CTE coherent sequence coursework and earn credit aligned with approved industry-based Components certifications (one-half poIntermediate credit) • Academic Achievement • Federal Graduation or Growth Status Graduation Rate • English Language Proficiency Four-year, five-year, or six-year graduation rate (or annual dropout rate if no graduation rate) • School Quality or Student Success *STAAR results from Elementary students in their first year in the U.S. schools are excluded from accountability calculations. STAAR Alternate 2 results are included Domain Score without regard to number of years in U.S. schools. Credit awarded based on weighted performance of student groups against annual targets. Better of either Student Achievement or School Progress domain = 70% of overall rating 30% of overall rating DISTINCTION DESIGNATIONS are awarded to campuses in ELA / reading, mathematics, science, social studies, Academic Growth and Closing the Gaps. Distinction designations are awarded to campuses and districts in Post-secondary Readiness. Campuses must be rated Met Standard overall to be eliigible for distinction designations. Districts rated F overall and alternative education accountability campuses are not eligible for distinction designations.
