ATR VERDICT: GABYNAKO may be able to gain a deserved win here after two good runner-up efforts this season. He pushed a smart horse in Eskylane close on his comeback run at Punchestown before losing out by the narrowest of margins to Fakiera in a thriller at Fairyhouse last time. That looks rock solid form and it could be third time lucky now. Captain Kangaroo looked a nice sort when taking a Clonmel bumper in March and is still in the 'could be anything' category. He is sure to be well schooled for this task but jumps experience could be a big plus for Gabynako. Battle Of Actium, a point-to-point winner, was placed behind Eskylane in a bumper at Navan back in January. He looks an interesting hurdling debutant but may want further than this in time.

ATR VERDICT: The fact that Willie Mullins runs GARS EN NOIR in Grade 2 company on his first outing for the yard looks a major vote of confidence in the French import. The Masked Marvel gelding won the second of two outings in his native land and the front pair pulled 30 lengths clear of the field that day. The runner-up has run a decent race in a Listed hurdle since, so that form looks strong enough. Gars En Noir made a couple of mistakes on the way round when winning at Auteuil in March and is sure to have been well schooled since joining the trainer. Indiana Jones was impressive when winning on his debut at Cork at the start of the month and looks a danger. He is a big horse and may improve with time. Call Me Lyreen is unbeaten in two starts and has to be respected but this looks a significant jump up in class from winning at Sligo last time.

ATR VERDICT: CASH BACK gets a nice pull of 8lb here off the top two and that could make the difference. He made Notebook pull out all the stops in the Irish Arkle at Leopardstown last season and may be able to turn the tables now at these weights. This small field could suit Willie Mullins' charge who reportedly ran too freely when disappointing in the Arkle at Cheltenham back in March. Notebook was beaten favourite at Cheltenham when only a moderate sixth. He had looked the top Irish novice prior to that when winning two Grade One events at Leopardstown, beating Fakir D'oudairies at Christmas, and, as mentioned above, Cash Back at the Dublin Racing Festival. He is the form choice but giving weight away here to Cash Back looks a tough ask. Fakir D'oudairies was also a Grade 1 winner last season, when taking the Drinmore, and was very consistent, finishing second in the Arkle at Cheltenham. He is obviously also a big player in a cracking little heat.

He seemed to appreciate stepping back up to this two-and-a-half mile trip then and won with a nice bit in hand so may be able to defy a 9lb hike now. JP McManus has four representatives and Mark Walsh rides top-weight Any Second Now. He is 12lb well in compared to his chase rating and could go well on his return to action. Wadiyathink Now is two from two on completed starts since joining Gavin Cromwell and looks an improving mare. She got 12lb for her win at Fairyhouse last time and takes a fair jump in grade now.

ATR VERDICT: Gigginstown House Stud and J P McManus are both represented here, and the leading owners also have reserves in the mix. Gordon Elliott straddles the divide as he has Fantasio D'alene for Gigginstown, and 'substitute' Gars De Sceaux for McManus. The safest choice at this juncture though, at least until we see how the betting develops, could be STATTLER. Vanillier finished second to a Ronnie Bartlett owned horse, Crosshill, at Punchestown 24 days back. He again may have to play a minor role behind a runner belonging to the Scotsman, as Stattler looks one to have on side on the back of his bumper performances. By Stowaway out of an Old Vic mare, it'll be surprising if the selection doesn't relish a hurdling assignment over a two mile three furlong trip, at a stiff course like this.

Long Handicap: I'll Be That Lady 9 - 11 ATR VERDICT: Rowing in behind J P McManus could be the way to go here, and the powerhouse owner has three to choose from. On debut for Henry de Bromhead, Memory Tree heads the weights, but he could find it tough conceding weight to the likes of NEVER OFF DUTY for the 'green and gold.' Robert Tyner's charge is the choice of McManus number one, Mark Walsh, and he was noted running satisfactorily over flights at Navan nearly a fortnight back. On the face of it there was nothing great about that ninth placed effort behind Youngnedofthehill. However, it was the chestnut's first outing for 351 days and he looks bound to come forward for it. He clearly hasn't been easy to train but he won his maiden hurdle at this venue and all seems in place for a big performance now.

ATR VERDICT: The likes of Cedarwood Road, Commander of Fleet and Janidil obviously aren't long about catching the eye here, but the race-fitness of JANUARY JETS and Longhouse Poet could see this pair come to the fore. January Jets finished second to the super-star Envoi Allen at Down Royal, and that represented an excellent start for the Presenting gelding over racecourse fences. It probably shouldn't have surprised anyone that Henry de Bromhead's six-year-old would run as well as he did then, considering he won a point-to-point for Pat Doyle. Envoi Allen accounted for the selection with the minimum of fuss. He does that to most horses he faces, though, and January Jets had the rest a long way in arrears. For the same connections as Envoi Allen, Larquebuse is the only mare in this field. A place in the frame might be as good as it'll get for her. The aforementioned Longhouse Poet may be suited by coming back in trip. He was well beaten at Punchestown and it'll be interesting to see what the market makes of him now.
