Sep./Oct. 1994 Issue No. 69 As we prepare to draw the curtain on another operating season and prepare for winter. I'd like to pause for a moment and look back at the high points of 1994. This past year was notable for the progress made on several points. among them: steps to improve relations with the City of Portola. The Eastern Plumas Chamber of Commerce. and our neighbors; real progress toward the de-acquisitioning of eqUipment not essential to our collection or Feather River our mission; visible progress on equipment restoration; and a sharper focus on things that can be accomplished within our resources. Rail Society We intend to continue progress made in the above areas in 1995 and * * * *** * *** * ***** * *** * * beyond; the benchmarks that will identify 1994. as I see them. are: 1. Our 10th Anniversary Celebration. "Circle the Wagons." Portola Railroad 2. The Board of Directors' transition for the future. 3. The debut of our signature piece. WP FP7 805A.
