But two sides were never able to finalize the agreement, and the team opted to former Cleveland Browns safety Damarious Randall at half the cost instead. As a former second-round pick who was a four-year starter for the Saints, Bell had a lot of value in free agency as a 25-year-old safety. The three-year deal is worth $18 million for Bell, per ESPN. The former All-American totaled 348 tackles (252 solo), including 14 tackles for loss, eight sacks, seven forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and one interception. The Bengals add Bell to a group of safeties which includes Jessie Bates and Shawn Williams. The hard- hitting safety should provide his new team with much-needed support against the run. Bell brings durability to Cincinnati, missing just three games across four seasons. In 13 games in 2019, Bell recorded 89 tackles (66 solo), four TFL and 1.5 sacks along with his first career interception, two fumbles forced, five fumble recoveries with one scoop and score. He set career highs with his 66 solo stops and five passes defended.
