Thi s is the beginning of somet hing of great importance for the future. This will hel p meet two objectives. One is to ensure that new teachers entering the pro fession have knowledge of co ntent and are therefore co mforta ble in teach ing history. The second is to expose teach ers in training to a variety of meth ods so history comes to life in their hand s.
