This is an event organized by Hiroshima's citizen groups and corporations that are actively involved in international exchange and cooperation. Beginning in the year 2000, the event has taken place consecutively and this year marks the 14th year. With the main theme: "Let's Learn", a variety of related programs will be held and participants are sure to get in touch with different cultures! Events at the Himawari Hall Chikyu no Stage With English subtitles [Time] 1:00pm -3:00pm [Place] Himawari (BF2) "Chikyu no Stage" is a live performance that showcases Dr. Kuwayama’s international cooperation activities, where he has given medical assistance and mental care to people in unprivileged regions, and areas devastated by conflicts and natural disasters around the world. The performance conveys the radiance of people whom he has met through his activities in these areas with images and singing. Kuwayama Norihiko: Is a psychiatrist based in Yamagata and Miyagi Prefectures and has gone to 57 countries to carry out medical treatment to persons in need. He has participated in a variety of NGO overseas relief activities, and presently is the representative director of the "Chikyu no Stage" Incorporated Non-profit Organization. He continues to provide emergency medical treatment and mental care to people who suffer from natural disasters and conflicts throughout the world.
