Which Canadian Charities Received the Most Revenue from Provincial Or Territorial Governments in 2015? www.canadiancharitylaw.ca Which Canadian charities received the most revenue from provincial or territorial governments in 2015? By Mark Blumberg (June 10, 2017) We recently reviewed the T3010 information for 2015. It covers about 82,170 of the 86,000 registered charities that have so far filed their return and that have been entered into the CRA’s database. Canadian registered charities are currently required to disclose on the T3010 their revenue from provincial or territorial governments. The total revenue from provincial governments of all the 82,170 registered charities were about $152,502,816,725.00. Yes that is over $150 Billion. Below we have a table of Canadian charities and their revenue from provincial or territorial governments as reported for the 2015 fiscal year. Thank you to Celeste Bonas, an intern at Blumbergs, for helping with this project. The Sean Blumberg Transparency Project is in memory of my youngest brother Sean Blumberg. Sean was a sweet, kind person, a great brother who helped me on a number of occasions with many tasks including the time consuming and arduous task of reviewing T3010 databases and making them into something useful. As part of the Sean Blumberg Transparency Project, Blumbergs has been releasing information on the Canadian charity sector to provide a better understanding of the size, scope, complexity and challenges of the sector. Please review my caveats at the end about the reliability and usage of T3010 information. 1 www.canadiancharitylaw.ca List of Canadian charities which received the most revenue from provincial or territorial governments Name of the Canadian registered charity Line 4550 1. • Frequently Asked Questions Re: Uniforms
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS RE: UNIFORMS Who should wear a uniform? All CJA students (Nursery – Grade 9) are required to wear school uniforms during school hours and at all school related activities, unless otherwise advised. Who is the supplier of uniforms? We have chosen InSchoolWear as the CJA supplier. InSchoolWear is a highly reputable Canadian manufacturer and distributor of school uniforms in Canada and Calgary. There is a Calgary store location at: InSchoolwear (ISW) Hours of Operation: Philips Park, Building A, Unit A9E Monday Closed 6120 – 2nd Street SE Tuesday 1:00 – 5:30 pm Calgary, Alberta T2H 2L8 Wednesday 1:00 – 5:30 pm Thursday 1:00 – 5:30 pm Phone: (403) 640-1032 Friday 1:00 – 5:30 pm www.inschoolwear.com Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Are all pieces of the uniform exclusive to InSchoolwear? Only the tops of uniforms purchased through InSchoolwear have logos. No bottom pieces (skirts, pants, etc.) have logos; therefore parents are able to purchase navy and other bottoms from other sources (e.g., Wal-Mart, etc.) What will happen if my child is NOT wearing a uniform? Parents are responsible for ensuring their children are appropriately dressed before arriving at school. Students arriving at school not in uniform will have their parents contacted to bring the uniform to school. Will there be casual (non-uniform) days? Yes, there will be non–uniform days, as specified by the school, where the students will be able to wear non-uniform clothes. Appropriate attire is still required and must conform to the Student Non-Uniform Dress Policy #5.50.
