STEP ACTION Voter states their name to the poll worker with the numbered list 1 of voters and alpha listing. Verify the voter is in the alpha listing, write their name on the 2 numbered list of voters. Transfer their name and voter number to the name slip. 3 Send the voter to the table with their correct poll book. Take the name slip from the voter and verify they are in the poll 4 book. 5 Announce the voter's name. 6 Have the voter sign the poll book. 7 Write their voter number and your initials in the poll book. Give the voter their paper ballot. (Make sure the party is correct 8 during Primaries.) The machine inspector will give them a privacy folder and direct 9 the voter to the voting area. Once finished, the machine inspector will direct the voter to the 10 scanner. A date in this column indicates the ballot has been returned

These voters will be listed in a SEPARATE section of the poll book. They will NOT be found in the regular poll book.

Voters whose ballots have been marked as “Ballot Returned” have already cast their ballots and are NOT PERMITTED to cast an additional ballot at the polls. These voters can be found in the additional section in the poll book with the watermark BALLOT CAST/NOT ELIGIBLE. A date in this column indicates the ballot has been returned

If the there is no date indicated in the “Ballot Returned” column:

Forfeit their Mail-in/ AND envelopes to the Judge of Elections to be spoiled, then vote on the machine. Spoiled ballots can be returned in spoiled ballot envelope with your supplies.

• If the voter chooses to remit their mail-in or absentee ballot to the Judge of Elections, they MUST fill out this form.

• Place the signed form AND the ballot, along with it’s envelopes, into the Spoiled Ballot Envelope

• The voter can then sign the poll book and vote conventionally “Passive Electioneering”

• Individual voters who appear at the polling place to exercise their right to vote are permitted to wear clothing, buttons or hats that demonstrate their support for particular candidates. However, voters who are in the polling place to vote should not campaign for their chosen candidates, and Judges of Election should ask those voters to refrain from doing so while in the polling place.

• Under no circumstances will any poll watcher or election official be permitted to wear apparel, pins or any other display favoring a candidate, political party or position on a . RULES FOR WATCHERS

1- Show Watcher Certificate to Judge of Elections. 2- Certificate remains with Watcher. 3- One Watcher for each candidate or political party in poll at a time. 4- Permitted to remain after close of poll outside of enclosed space. STEP ACTION Once the tapes have been printed, assign a "reader" and at least two "writers" 1 - Readers will call out the totals from the machine tapes - Writers will be writing down the totals onto the Canvass sheets - At least 3 Canvass sheets must be filled out The reader will call out the Protective Counter Number and the Public Counter Number 2 - Protective Counter Number: Lifetime votes cast on the machine - Public Counter Number: Number of votes cast on Election Day

STEP ACTION When the voter has completed their ballot, have them place their secrecy envelope into the medium sized white envelope, seal it, and sign the 6 affidavit as you witness. (In Primary - individual claims to be registered a particular political party, but poll book indicates otherwise). 6. Voting as a result of Court Order. 7. 1. Judge of Election and Minority Inspector must witness individual completing Provisional Affidavit on Provisional Affidavit Envelope BEFORE ballot is completed.

2. Judge of Election and Minority Inspector must sign Provisional Affidavit BEFORE ballot is completed.

3. Judge of Election shall provide individual with: a) Provisional Ballot. b) Provisional Secrecy Envelope ( small green envelope). c) Provisional Affidavit Envelope (9” x 12” white envelope). d) Blue/black pen

4. Direct individual to private area.
