ACWS VENEZIA, L'ASSOCIAZIONE “LIBERI NEL VENTO” IN VISITA ALLA BASE DI LUNA ROSSA Pubblicato in 03 maggio 2012 Una delegazione di 16 soci dell’associazione “Liberi nel Vento”, impegnata nella promozione dello sport della vela per le persone disabili, ha visitato stamane la base del team Luna Rossa Challenge 2013 presso l’Arsenale di Venezia. Gli ospiti, accolti dallo skipper Max Sirena, hanno potuto visitare le installazioni tecniche e seguire le operazioni di armamento delle imbarcazioni e dell’ala rigida. In seguito la delegazione si è fermata a pranzo presso la base di Luna Rossa, familiarizzando con i vari componenti degli equipaggi e dello shore team. L'associazione Liberi nel Vento, nata nel 2002, promuove lo sport della vela ed il divertimento rivolgendosi a tutti, anche e soprattutto a persone con disabilità fisiche, mentali e sensoriali. Il sailing team è composto da sette atleti che regolarmente partecipano a tutte le più importanti regate del circuito italiano della Classe 2.4mR. Quest'anno, l'Associazione organizzerà il Campionato Mondiale 2.4.mR, in programma a Porto San Giorgio dal 16 al 22 settembre 2012. Entries closed for the America's Cup on August 8, 2014 however late entries can be accepted at the whim of the Defender, America's Cup Events Authority. In a refreshing move for the America's Cup, the Japanese Team posted a copy of their Letter of Challenge for the premier trophy in sailing. SoftBank Team Japan's campaign was confirmed today by Kazuhiko Sofuku, “Fuku”, a veteran of four previous America’s Cup campaigns who has been appointed as the team’s general manager. Fuku's profile states that he has been involved in numerous international projects as a bowman. Career highlights include Americas Cup with BMW Oracle. He has also competed on the World Match Racing Tour with Peter Gilmour and the Audi Med Cup with Audi/Q8 TP52 Team. In 2012 Fuku is sailed with Container on the TP52 circuit.
