Last Death Worm of the Apocalypse – Nina Post. Kelly Driscoll has been the interim building manager of Amenity Tower for almost a year when Claw & Crutty (the company that owns the building) sends Charlotte, a corporate bean-counter, to audit her performance and improve the condo’s profitability. Charlotte is so blisteringly overbearing and awful that Kelly (already worried she’ll never live up to the beloved ex-manager Roger Balbi) starts to doubt she’ll ever be a competent manager. Everafter Vol. 1: The Pandora Protocol – Lilah Sturges & Dave Justus. ★★★ I was so excited to read this: a Fables spin-off that brings together an eclectic cast of characters as a sort of magical spy crew. Think Mission Impossible meets The Avengers in a world where magic is real, dangerous, and out-of-control. Unfortunately, this was rather a let-down. The enchanting spirit and cool characters of the original… I’ll Eat When I’m Dead – Barbara Bourland. I’ll Eat When I’m Dead is a smart twisty mix of Sex and the City, Less than Zero, The Devil Wears Prada and The September Edition. Bill & Ted’s Most Triumphant Return – Brian Lynch. Growing up in the 90’s, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and it’s sequel Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey was a big part of my early teen years, and; along with Wayne’s World; had a fairly big role to play in my worldview (and my most-excellent non-heinous usage of English, dudes).
