In a sea of YouTube covers, 15-year-old Lewis Blissett’s pure and effortless voice cuts through the rest. The English teenager’s YouTube covers of pop stars including Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish have earned heaps of praise and co-signs from the artists themselves. With millions of followers across his socials, his sound and style has been compared to Justin Bieber and a young Justin Timberlake. Like many kids his age right now, Lewis speaks publicly on a new age fluidity of gender and sexuality and has very quickly become a relatable figure for a generation. He’s had to cope with dysfunctional family life and online bullying. Music became his therapy and his escape, pouring himself into dark alt pop tracks and emotional ballads about relationships, loss and finding himself.
