Headlining Coachella By: Seleena Davis

In January of 2019, Coachella announced its lineup for this year’s festival. It showed that

Ariana Grande will be headlining the festival. Ariana, at just 25-years-old, will be the youngest person to headline Coachella, a music festival that takes place in Indio, California. The festival takes place over two weekends, April 12-14 and April 19-21, and is held annually.

Ariana is the fourth female to headline the festival behind Beyoncé, and Björk. She will be headlining with Childish Gambino and Tame Impala. Originally, it was supposed to be headlining, but after the singer and Coachella had some disagreements over the stage size, “West made it clear he wouldn't perform on a traditional

60x40 foot stage because it was 'artistically limiting,’” TMZ reported, Coachella reached out to

Ariana and she replaced him.
