MINUTES (Agenda Item 1) RESOLVED – That the Minutes of the Meeting held on 24 April 2006, be approved as a correct record. 2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE (Agenda Item 2) Apologies were received from Councillor Jeremy Davies who was attending the Hendon Area Planning Sub-Committee. 3. PUBLIC QUESTION TIME (Agenda Item 3) No questions were received. 4. DECLARATION OF MEMBERS’ PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS (Agenda Item 4) Councillor Agenda Item Interest Joan Scannell 9 – Pension Fund Personal but non- Governance Policy prejudicial. Councillor Statement Scannell is a member of the London Borough of Barnet Pension Fund. Councillor Scannell remained in the room and took part in the decision making process. Mike Freer 9 – Pension Fund Personal but non- Governance Policy prejudicial. Councillor Statement Freer is Chairman of the Pension Fund Management Advisory 1 Councillor Agenda Item Interest Panel and is a member of the London Borough of Barnet Pension Fund. Councillor Freer remained in the room and took part in the decision making process. Lynne Hillan 9 – Pension Fund Personal but non- Governance Policy prejudicial. MEMBER’S ITEM – RESOLUTIONS OF APPRECIATION FOR RETIRING MEMBERS – COUNCILLOR LYNNE HILLAN (Agenda Item 7.1) RESOLVED – That the qualifying period of service for the presentation of Resolutions of Appreciation to retiring Members be reduced from 25 years to 20 years. 2 7. APPOINTMENTS TO SCHOOL GOVERNING BODIES AND OUTSIDE BODIES (Report of the Democratic Services Manager – Agenda Item 8) The Democratic Services Manager circulated the list of nominations in respect of the List of Vacancies in Appendices A, B, C, D and the Addendum to the report. The Conservative’s nomination in respect of vacancy reference P.10.1 at Brunswick Park Primary School was changed to Mr Sam Banthan Jeyapalan. The Conservative’s nomination in respect of vacancy reference FS1.1 Ashmole Foundation was changed to Councillor Lisa Rutter. The Conservative’s nomination in respect of vacancy reference1080 Member Nicholl & Daniel Homes Charity was changed to Dr Vanessa Gearson.
