Hierzu gehören die bereits abgeschlossenen Aktionen in der Vergangenheit und die Pläne für die Zukunft. In 2020 planen wir, wie im Antrag beschrieben, aus Anlass 75 Jahre Freiheit die Grenze blühen zu lassen und eine Fotoserie über die Ge- schichte der Grenzstraße Heelweg/Hellweg. Danach sind schon weitere Projekte geplant. „Die Landesregierung rückt mit dem Heimatpreis herausragendes Engagement in den Fokus der Öffentlichkeit. Neben der Wertschätzung für die geleistete Arbeit verbindet sich damit auch die Chance, vor Ort über das Thema „Heimat“ zu diskutieren“. Da ausdrücklich auch die ge- leistete Arbeit anerkannt werden soll und nicht nur der Blick in die Zukunft, stellen wir zusätz- lich zur eigentlichen Bewerbung dar, was in den letzten Jahren an nachahmenswerten Aktivi- täten zur Überwindung von Grenzen in Suderwick und Dinxperlo zum Wohl unserer gemeinsa- men deutsch-niederländischen Heimat „Dinxperwick“ stattgefunden hat. Das Motto des Heimatpreises 2019 des Kreises Borken „Lust auf Heimat“ ist schon lange Leitsatz des Heimatver- eins. Das machen viele Beispiele deutlich. Die Bürgerinitia- tive Dinxperwick ist vor etwa 10 Jahren gegründet worden, um einen drohenden Schaden für unsere Heimat durch Kiesabbau abzuwenden und die Kulturlandschaft an der Grenze als ein Stück Heimat zu bewahren. Seit mehreren Jahren setzt man sich grenzüberschreitend für die Zukunft von „Dinxperwick“ und die dort lebenden Menschen ein. Beide Vereine haben gemeinsam ohne Konkurrenzdenken das Ziel, noch mehr Menschen für die lokale „Dinxperwi- cker“ Besonderheit „Grenze“ zu begeistern.

The researchers focused on different areas such as the economy or socio-cultural to examine cross-border shopping. However, this thesis examines the impact of the Covid-19 related restrictions on cross-border shopping based on the past work from the researchers in this area. The research question of this thesis is "To what extent do the Covid 19 related restrictions imposed during the first wave influenced the cross-border shopping at the Dutch-German border region based on the case of Bocholt?”. In order to answer the research question, three sub-questions were raised to answer the research question and data were collected by documents and the "Stadtmarketing of the city of Bocholt".
