  • Infogroup Business Listing File
Infogroup Business Listing File Company location: Omaha, Nebraska Web address: www.infousa.com Description: Infogroup collects information on approximately 11 million private and public US companies. Individual businesses are located by address geocoding—not all will have an exact location. The Esri geocoder integrates an address-based approach with more than eighty-one million residential and commercial U.S. address records from the NAVTEQ Point Addressing database. This database maps street addresses to a physical location so each address is a fixed point and not an interpolation from an address range. The geocoder uses address locators in a cascading fallback approach to ensure a match for as many records as possible. The primary locator utilizes the NAVTEQ Point Addressing database. The secondary locator utilizes the NAVTEQ Street Address Range database. Records that did not match fall back to the geocode provided by Infogroup. Businesses can be retrieved by their Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) as well as by North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and Location. The Infogroup Business File can be used for locating both competitors and marketing opportunities. This data is current as of July 2011. Fields: Note: Using the Identify a Business tool , click on a business in your map area to see these fields for an individual business. Fields marked in blue below are not visible in the business layer attribute table or exportable from Business Analyst. Company Name (Actual field name=CONAME) – The legal, incorporated business name. • For the Fuel & Convenience Store Industry
FOOT TRAFFIC REPORT FOR THE FUEL & CONVENIENCE STORE INDUSTRY Q1 2017 A NEW ERA FOR THE CONVENIENCE STORE As the convenience store industry adapts to meet customer needs and grow market share, location intelligence is becoming increasingly critical to understanding consumer habits and behaviors. GasBuddy and Cuebiq teamed up in the first quarter of 2017 to issue the first foot traffic report for the fuel and convenience store industry. Highlights: GasBuddy and Cuebiq examined 23.5 million consumer trips to the pumps and convenience stores between January 1 and March 31. In Q1, more than half of GasBuddies visited locations within six miles of their homes or places of employment, giving retailers the opportunity to leverage their greatest resource—knowing their customer base—to localize and personalize their product selection. Weekdays between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. were highly-trafficked hours in Q1. Convenience stores are poised to lure business away from QSRs and grocery stores now that customers can eat quality meals at the same place and time they choose to fill up their tanks. With filling a gas tank clocking in at an efficient 2-3 minutes, the 73% of GasBuddies who spent more than five minutes at locations in Q1 demonstrated that consumers are likely willing to spend some time in store before or after visiting the pumps. QUARTERLY FOOT TRAFFIC REPORT 1 GasBuddy examined nearly 23.5 million consumer trips to gas Indiana-based gas station and stations and c-stores in Q1 2017 convenience store chain Ricker’s enjoys a loyal GasBuddy customer Which fuel brands captured the base—the nearly 50-station brand highest ratio of footfall per station? captured more than 4x the industry average footfall per location in Q1.

  • EG Group Owners in Lead Position to Buy $8.4Bn Asda
UK: EG Group owners in lead position to buy $8.4bn Asda Billionaire owners of international forecourt operator EG Group have stunned the markets by moving into pole position to buy supermarket chain Asda. Mohsin Issa and his brother Zuber are leading the race to acquire British supermarket business Asda, valued at £6.5 billion ($8.4bn), on the back of building an international fuel and convenience empire with Euro Garages Group. Sky News has reported that the two brothers from Blackburn (UK), and TDR Capital, the London-based private equity backer of EG Group, have been selected by Walmart as the frontrunners to take over Asda. If the bid backed by the Issa brothers and TDR is successful it will see Asda, which operates more than 600 stores in the UK, return to British hands for the first time since 1999. Initial reports had private equity firm Apollo Global Management as the leading option to buy Asda. A key part of the operation that has put the Issa brothers and TDR in pole position is the possibility of expanding the supermarket business in their petrol station network. Just a week ago, Asda announced it would be trialling a new convenience store concept at the tree EG Group stations. With acquisition after acquisition, EG Group has built an empire since its formation in 2016 and now employs 50,000 people across almost 6,000 sites in the UK, U.S., Europe and Australia. U.S. retailing giant Walmart has been looking to offload parts of its British business to focus on defending its position against Amazon and explore other opportunities in more attractive markets like India.

THE ROLLCAST Newsletter of Cape Cod Trout Unlimited Chapter 460 December 2020 Presidents Message and December Events Stories from Swaluk, Petruska, Rakowski Ecological Restoration Funding Proposed Slate of Officers Volunteers Needed On the WEB: www.capecodtu.org December President’s Message Hello fellow CCTU members, Two years has flown right by and this is my last message to you as President of the Cape Cod Chapter. It has been my sincere honor to serve in this role. During this time, the CCTU Board members I had the pleasure of working with did an outstanding job with projects small and large. Thank you to Alan Alai, Pat Grenier, Mike Howard, Tim Lynch, Fred Monahan, Charlie Orr, Tom Planert, Ron Reif and Peter Schilling for all your hard work and dedication to the Chapter. While this past year was not what I (or anyone for that matter) had anticipated, I am grateful that we were able to accomplish what we did over the past two years. In 2019, we had one of the best fundraising banquets in a long time thanks to Banquet Chairman Mike Howard with help from the Board and Fred Monahan and a whole host of other volunteer instructors and helpers brought another class of eager students into the world of fly fishing and conservation. In 2020, we were also able to contribute $5,000 toward the conservation of another 150+ acres along the North River in Heath, MA. Work continued on the Quashnet by a small, but dedicated team of monthly volunteers, as well as on the Childs River Restoration project where CCTU played a part by con- tributing toward monitoring equipment courtesy of an Embrace-A-Stream grant shepherded by Tim Lynch.

  • Coastal Resources Element 2.2
Coastal Resources Element 2.2 Inventory The Coastal Resources inventory identifies and summarizes a variety of Falmouth’s beaches, coastal banks, shellfish beds, commercial waterfronts, harbors, access points and coastal facilities. Detailed and specific coastal resource information, such as the Shellfish Management Plan and The Future of Falmouth’s South Shore, are found in various Town Hall departments. Shellfish Beds & Habitat Areas The majority of Falmouth’s tidal ponds and rivers are seasonally approved for the harvest of shellfish from November thru April on an annual basis, with each water-body having various quantities of quality shellfish habitat. Areas open for year-round harvest vary from year to year and are more limited in scope, but typically consist of locations in Waquoit Bay, Bournes Pond, Little Harbor (Woods Hole), Great Harbor (Woods Hole), Quissett Harbor and Megansett Harbor. Shellfish resource habitat maps highlight these water-bodies and are available at the Town of Falmouth Shellfish Department and the Conservation Commission office. The significant shellfish habitat areas are as follows: The Megansett Harbor area (1,049 acres) has significant populations of seeded quahogs, clams and oysters as well as occasional populations of bay scallops. West Falmouth Harbor (201 acres) is a significant resource for quahogs, soft-shell clams, oysters and scallops. The scallop population has been recently improved due to a local scallop program executed by the Shellfish Constable. Great Sippewissett Marsh (29 acres) has pockets of clams and quahogs, but has been experiencing degradation in water quality from runoff and septic systems, which has led to a prohibition on shellfishing.
