We bought Sarum Cottage in the early 80’s, as two cottages, and then spent a year converting them into one dwelling Our four children grew up here, and we have lived happily for over thirty years.

The village is a lovely environment to live in, and the house is situated in a quiet area, with a well screened, sizeable garden, which gave us and our children a lot of pleasure over the years. Aston Upthorpe is a scenically pleasing village, which also benefits from an inclusive sociable community, with many activities available; some in the well-appointed village hall, others in people’s homes, or in the excellent local pub/restaurant. The countryside around the village is superb, and there are lots of pleasant walks, which are very attractive to dog owners, and others wanting casual exercise.

Our family have now grown up and left home, so we are looking to downsize, and move to a smaller house within the area.*
