New head of Peter Lang USA

New York, April 11th 2016 New York-based academic publisher Peter Lang Publishing Inc. has appointed Dr. Farideh Koohi-Kamali Senior Vice President of the compa- ny, effective immediately. She replaces Christopher Myers who has left the company after over 25 years of service as Managing Director and Education Editor.

Having started her publishing career at Routledge, Koohi-Kamali spent the last 14 years at Palgrave Macmillan as editorial director of the US Academic Program and publisher of the Global Outreach Program. She was responsible for editorial growth and expansion in emerging markets and has managed major strategy and market development across a wide portfolio of products. She has a M.Phil. and D.Phil. in Pol- itics from Oxford University and is Adjunct Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at New School University.

At Peter Lang USA, Koohi-Kamali will develop and expand the company’s editorial and market coverage in North and Latin America, as well as in other emerging mar- kets, and she will be responsible for improving the company’s strategy to focus on business development.
