The process for developing the common science curriculum for Atlantic Canada involved regional consultation with the stakeholders in the education system in each Atlantic province. The Atlantic Canada science curriculum is consistent with the science framework described in the Pan-Canadian Common Framework of Science Learning Outcomes K to 12. Science 10: A Teaching Resource is a practical curriculum support document designed to assist teachers in the effective delivery of the curriculum prescribed for Science 10. It includes a range of experiments, investigations, and activities for students for each of the four units: Weather Dynamics, Chemical Reactions, Motion, and Sustainability of Ecosystems. Each unit is 25% of the
