Craig David Summerar Sin Karriär 2008-10-21 08:05 CEST Craig David summerar sin karriär 13 miljoner sålda album efter att Craig David äntrade scenen med hitsingeln 'Rewind' släpper han sin första Greatest Hits-samling 26 november på Warner Bros. Records. Albumet föregås av singeln 'Insomnia', producerad av Jim Beanz för Timbaland Productions, som precis gått till svensk radio. ‘GreatestHits' innehåller topplistesinglarna ‘Fill Me In' och ‘7 Days', hans samarbeten ‘Rewind' (med Artful Dodger) och ‘Rise & Fall' (med Sting) som båda låg så högt som tvåa på brittiska singellistorna samt ytterligare fem top tio-singlar. Förutom tolv av Craigs största hits och mest älskade låtar återfinns även två helt nya låtar - 'Insomnia' och 'Where's Your Love', inspelad med undergroundsensationen på grimescenen Tinchy Stryder. De album som släpps i Frankrike, Tyskland, Italien och Spanien kommer alla att ha en speciallåt som bonus, en exklusiv version av 'Walking Away' som Craig spelat in i duettform med en framträdande artist från respektive land. Frankrike: 28-åriga sångerskan Lynnsha med rötter från Martinique. Tyskland: poptrion Monrose, vars debutalbum sålde dubbel platina. De har sedan dess haft sex topp tio-singlar varav två listettor: Shame (2006) och Hot Summer (2007). Consequentially, while the role of album art has evolved to meet the changes in music technology, it is hard to measure the effect of digital streaming on modern album art. This research seeks to determine whether or not graphic design still plays a role in marketing information about the music, such as its genre, to the consumer. It does so through two studies: 1. A computer visual analysis that measures color dominance of an image, and 2. A mixed-design lab experiment with volunteer participants who attempt to assess the genre of a given album. Findings from the first study show that color scheme models created from album samples cannot be used to predict the genre of an album. Further findings from the second theory show that consumers pay a significant amount of attention to album covers, enough to be able to correctly assess the genre of an album most of the time.
