PART – A: PLAN OF ACTION CHALKED OUT.
The NAAC peer team visited our college for assessment of Accreditation on 28 th, 29th & 30th December 2006 and the college was accredited at ‘B’+ level. Since January-2007 the post NAAC activities are in progress to maintain the quality and to achieve the excellence. In this regard the following plan of action was chalked out for the year 2009-10
1) Conducting Work shop and Seminar
2) Conducting student and Public Awareness Programme
3) Strengthening of TEP SEP, KEP Programme
4) Encourage more students to involve and participate in National and State Level seminars. 5) Encouraging staffs to take up the project works. 6) Planning for enhancing the employability of our product at various organization through placement cell. 7) Encouraging students to take up project works and to participate in Udyogamela
8) Encouraging communication and personality development skills of the students.
9) To conduct Temple cleaning activity to develop Historic Sence

OUTCOME ACHIEVED AT THE END OF THE YEAR.
1] Our institution has organized one day state level seminar on 12-03-2010 in connection with Global Financial Recession and its impact on various spheres of state economic of Karnataka Dr N.G. Chachadi Principal Karnataka Arts College Dharwar has given key note address on the occasion. Dr B.S. Naregal worked as the organizing secretary in the above said seminar. Department of Hindi with association of KHPS Bangalore conducted one day state level seminar on 15-11-2009 on the topic of Vishnu Orabhakar Sahityak Sangosti.
2] Bar Association of Shiggaon in association with our college is used to orgainise legal awareness programme every year to create general laws and legal awareness among the students. N S S Special camp was conducted in adopt village Gangenur From 05-11-2009 to 11-11-2009. During the span of one week N.S.S. special camp has conducted various public awareness programmes and community oriented activities in the adopted village
3] Management is supporting the teaching staff members to involve actively in TEP SEP, KEP Programme, consequently some of the departments have already moving towards this goal.
4] Under the guidance of research scholars approximately 22 students have under gone training and guidance to prepare and present research papers at SL , NL and RL conferences, seminars, workshop etc., Moreover they have successfully presented their papers in different academic activity.
5] Management suggested the staff to take part in the MRP work with UGC funding . As a result of this Dr.B.S.Naregal is involved in the MRP with UGC assistance under 12 th plan and the work is at progress.
6] The placement cell of our college in particular and S.R.J.V. College in general have initiated a “Certificate in Soft Skill” under career oriented program during the year 2009- 2010.Dr B.S. Naregal and Prof A.I.Koti worked as coordinator and felicitator of Language

Enhancement respectively. 20 students were admitted to the course and all the students were passed the course.
7] Students are encouraged to undertake project work in various department. under the guidance of placement cell, approximately 22 students have under gone training and guidance to prepare and present research paper in conferences, seminars and workshops at various levels. The Placement cell submitted a list of final year student on 8-04-2010 to get S.M.S. Job alerts which is sponsored by Vidhya Poshak Dhardad.
8) To Encouraging communication and personality development skills of the students. Our college has organized under MOU with Bhrindavan Infosis Spoken English Centre Hubli during the year 2009 -2010. Dr, B.S. Naregal worked as the coordinator for the course. Prof A.I. Koti worked as staff incharge of the course.
9) With the help of Archaeology department Dharwad, our college History department conducted Temple cleaning activity in Shiddeswar Temple at Neeralagi on 20-3-2010 under the guidance of prof P.C.Hiremath
10] We conducted Karnataka University First Zone Intercollegiate Youth Festival (UNIFEST) on 30-10-2009 to 31-10-2009. Prof S.V. Huddar worked as the chairman and Prof P.C. Hiremath worked as the coordinator.
11) From 09-02-2010 to 13-02-2010 our college organized Karnataka University First Zone Kabbaddi Tournament.

Computer study has been incorporated in the syllabi of B.Com. course as one of the compulsory subjects for each class of the course. Further, students of B.A. Part II were also taught computer application as one of subjects prescribed. Thus students are liberal in learning the computer.
The computer training was imparted to a few Non-Teaching staff. The Internet facility was installed in the office.

Our students were awarded and rewarded many scholarships by the State and Central Governments and other Institutions. Further, we are in the force front in instituting endowment cash prizes to help the deserving and needy students. Many philanthropists have joined our way instituting cash prizes. Parents of our wards are the parents of our institutions also. Our teachers are joining hands with the parents thus forming ‘parents teachers association ‘. (PTA) to become part of the higher education system. Our PTA met once in a year and pressed and impressed the activities that help the student. The parents and our teachers going hand in hand to support our wards.
32) Health services;
A separate health unit is located in the college to take care of the health of all the students in the campus. Our college had MOU with PHC Shiggaon. Dr Nidagundi , MO of the hospital is used to come over to our college once in a week being the incharge of our health unit he will take care of our wards. In case of emergency we will call to 108.the higher authorities of PHC Shiggaon in association with our health unit health awareness programmes. Our students are in stress at the time of semester examination therefore medical officer of PHC Shiggaon used to come over to our college and councilling our students on behalf of health unit.
33) Performance in sports activates;
Our sports wing has a rich heritage and glorious past . It has been giving yeoman service to the field of physical education and it has been playing upper hand in producing three university Blues harnessing the rural stamina of the student. Deserving student were identified and coached to farewell in the events which they represent.
The various teams like Kabbaddi, Kho Kho, Ball Badminton and Volley Ball selected for the year 2009 – 2010. Mr Ramesh Kuravatti is selected in the Karnataka university cross country race team. He represented our University and participated in All India Inter University computation held in Kottayamon on 19-09- 2009 in which he got 5th place. From 28-10-2009

Miss Parvati Kuravatti selected in the Karnataka University Kabbaddi team. She represented our University in All India University Kabbaddi Tournament held in Bombay From 01-10-2009 to 20-11-2009.
Mr Muhammad Yusuf Participated and selected in the Karnataka University Ball Badminton Team. He participated in All India University tournament held in Mudabidare from 03-02-2010 to 07-02-2010.
From 09-02-2010 to 13-02-2010 our college organized first zone Karnataka university Kabbaddi Tournament.

Under the guidance of admission committee have given guidance to the students at the time of admission regarding combinations of subjects, selection of basics, changing the faculties etc,. (B) IQAC of the College Functioned during 2009– 2010
The IQAC of the college faired well initiating various academic and supportive programmes co-ordinating all departments working under a single roof. During the year 2009-10 the IQAC convened and conducted two meetings to transact it’s significant ‘Agenda’with a view to scale up Institutional quality to a new height. Members of the IQAC always interacted magnificently and have given valuable guidance and suggestions. These suggestions were pro-quality and supportive. The IQAC appreciates the Chairpersons and members for their timely support and suggestions that empower the Higher Education System. Every member worked as an Ambassador to spread quality in Higher Education System. The fallowing dignatories constitute and continued to be associated with the IQAC of the college for 2009 -2010

‘Staff Club’ Is an association of all teaching and Non-Teaching employees of the college. Whenever meeting of the club is convened and conducted in the staff room as per agenda and the regulations are recorded. The club definitely helps in co-ordinating the affairs and speeks that we are a family. This year four meetings were convened and conducted to deal important agenda / issues. We never chase the rainbows, We know our strengths at the same time our weakness as well, In excitement we do not promise something that we cannot deliver. In this background we have design the fallowing plans for the year 2010-2011
1) Conducting Work shop and Seminar 2) Conducting Student Awareness Programme 3) Conducting Public Awareness Programme 4) Strengthening of TEP SEP, KEP Programme 5) Strengthening of Students Adoption Programme. 6) Strengthening of Village Adoption Programme. 7) Encouraging students in more number for participation and presentation of papers in National and State level seminars. 8) Encouraging staffs to take up the project works. 9) Encouraging students to take up project works and to participate in Udyogamela 10) Encouraging communication and personality development skills of the students. 11) Construction of new separate library. 12) Plan to organized zonal youth festival of Karnataka University Dharwar. 13) Encouraging students to take part in Inter collgeat debating and sports compitation. 14) To Start the Heritage Club with the help of Prachysvastu Sangrahalaya and Parampare Elake
