Busty and the Bass BUSTY AND THE BASS Busty and the Bass est un collectif de jeunes musiciens dont l’électro/soul/hip-hop teinté de funk se révèle irrésistible. ). 8 PIECE HIP-HOP COLLECTIVE BIOGRAPHY Formed in a basement in Ottawa, Ontario, in late 2012, BLAKDENIM blends genres like no Canadian act today. The group fuses hip-hop, funk, rock and soul with lyrical content that ranges from identity issues to daily issues, like picking yourself up after a bad day, perseverance, self- esteem and hope. Influenced by artists like The Roots to Earth, Wind and Fire, there’s no shortage of musical expertise with the line-up consisting of an emcee, female vocalist, 2 trumpets, saxophone, bass guitar, guitar, keys and drums. They soon became known as an incredible live act not to be missed within the Nation’s Capital across a spectrum of music genre fans alike. As finalists in the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot radio competition in 2013, the band was awarded a small sum of money that allowed them to record their debut EP. “Vanguard(EN)” was independently released in 2014, and made top hip-hop charts on college radio and selective rotation on commercial FM stations. Their professional music videos quickly gained traction with thousands of views each. Serious media buzz came from a highly successful club tour in February 2015, and well-attended showcases at Indie Week, where they were a top finalist. BLAKDENIM was destined to become a festival favourite across Ontario and Quebec and soon found them-selves opening for iconic artists like Charles Bradley and Karim Ouellet. BLAKDENIM continues to prove that Ottawa is more than capable of putting out truly elite talent. For an emerging band to have been invited to play these festivals and showcases, including Canadian Music Week, indicates the great potential for career longevity that major festival promoters and industry recognize in them.

July 5 to 15, 2018 PRESS RELEASE For immediate release A breath of fresh air blows on the FEQ! Québec City, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 – Festival d’été de Québec is making a big splash by bringing together the biggest names in international music and unveiling a decidedly contemporary program for its 51st edition! Foo Fighters, The Weeknd, Beck, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Mendes, Future, Lorde, Cyndi Lauper, Avenged Sevenfold and Dave Matthews Band will all be meeting in Québec City from July 5 to 15th. FEQ has entrusted the carte blanche evening to Patrice Michaud for an unrivaled concept show. FEQ will also welcome the legendary Neil Young for his very first visit to the Capital: a long-awaited visit that will attract huge crowds to the only show he will present in Canada. “The FEQ passed an important milestone with its 50th anniversary. Now we are looking to the future and continue to innovate with a modern and diversified program. This next edition is following world trends very closely: we’ll be having a lineup of top stars from many leading festivals, and we’re convinced that festival-goers from all parts of the world will be flocking here this summer,” explained the Interim General Manager, Claude Doré. OUTDOOR STAGES BELL STAGE ON THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM An explosive reunion is expected for festival-goers and the Foo Fighters, who clearly intend to finish performing the show they began in 2015. That show was cut short after four songs by a severe storm. Ever since that surprise turn of events, legions of rock fans have been clamoring for a long-awaited return.

Context is key, answers the Superior Court’s, as it dismisses the application for authorization to institute a class action against Gestion Evenko Inc.1 regarding Travis Scott’s late appearance at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in the summer of 2018. Overview of the first class action on this topic in Quebec. Background The Osheaga Festival, organized by the defendant, Evenko, is a huge celebration dedicated to music and visual arts where artists of all genres perform for three days on the many outdoor stages set up in Parc Jean-Drapeau on Notre-Dame Island. Rapper Travis Scott was on the lineup for the evening of August 3, 2018. His performance was scheduled from 9:45 p.m. to 10:55 p.m. on the River stage. Wishing to attend this performance, the plaintiff, who had purchased a weekend pass, went to the venue at 8:45 p.m. Copyright (c) Lavery, de Billy, S.E.N.C.R.L. - L.L.P. Unfortunately, Travis Scott was held up at customs that evening. The sequence of events can be summarized as follows. At 9:55 p.m., Evenko displayed a first message on the site’s giant screens indicating that the show was delayed for a reason beyond its control. At 10:15 p.m., Evenko broadcast a second message, both on the giant screens and on Twitter, indicating that Travis Scott had been delayed at customs and was on his way to Notre-Dame Island.
