At any given time, only a portion of the hairs in any area are in the active growth phase and responsive to treatment. The hairs that are not in the growth phase are not affected by the laser. For most body areas, a minimum of five to ten treatments are necessary to achieve optimal results.

After laser hair removal, it is important that you are prepared for the post-care:

➢ DO USE sun protection with an SPF 35 or higher prior to going outdoors, avoid sun exposure, and avoid self-tanners after procedures for several months while treatment is ongoing. ➢ You may experience a slight sunburned feeling at the treated area for a couple of hours after treatment. Cool compresses can be applied to the areas for relief. Hair in treated area will be singed and fall out over the next few to several weeks. Most hairs will not instantly fall out at the time of treatment. ➢ DO NOT tweeze or wax between treatments, but you may shave the area. ➢ Treatments are scheduled 4-6 weeks apart to allow for growth in untreated hairs. ➢ Side effects and complications may include reddening, mild burning, temporary bruising or discoloration that may last for several days after the treatment. Rarely, scarring, blistering or permanent discoloration may occur. Pigmented lesions in the treatment area such as freckles may become permanently removed. ➢ Results may vary with different skin types, hair color and location. People who tend to sunburn rather than tan usually obtain good results after each treatment. On the other , those who tan easily tend to have more variation in their results. Some have experienced partial results and some may experience no improvement at all. red, gray, white and very blonde hairs will not react to the laser.
