Mishima Zaibatsu - Alphabet FC 4 : 0 Scorers: King (58.), True Ogre (69.), Kazuya Mishima (29.), Hwoarang (22.) *** --- An easy win for table toppers Mishima Zaibatsu against Letters who have struggled severely away this season.
Tamriel Athletic - FC Mokum 1 : 1 Scorers: Urbul gro-Orkulg (63.) ***Raul (21.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Marcellis FC Mokum was the stronger team of this matchup due to a better strategy, but the home advantage was enough to give Tamriel Athletic a fair shot at a point, and were lucky enough to get it. In fact, they almost got both, but missed the penalty that could've given them the win.
Sleep Wanderers - Blue Revolution 1 : 0 Scorers: Matthew Crow (70.) ***--- !! Night Terrors are bottom of the table, and the only team to have just one home win so far this season. However, despite their visitors being a top five team, they managed to take this one home.
Gangsters United - FC Asskickers 4 : 4 Scorers: Big Bad Wolf (35., 63.), Vito Spetafore (71., 84.) ***Sting (62., 78., 84.), Kenichiro (34.) Booked: --- ***Kenichiro Despite being rather significantly inferior, the Mobsters were a lot luckier in this one, and thus somehow got away with a point. Eye-witnesses said something about a visit to the referee's dressing room, but said eye-witnesses was nowhere to be found later on.
First Men of Rome - Twin Peaks Owls 0 : 0 As expected from looking at scores so far this season, the Toga Boys had most of the play in this game. However, the Bookhouse Boys had picked a decent strategy and got a bit of help from the woodwork. Fjortoft's Friends - G.I.D. 4 : 0 Scorers: Zico (10., 66.), Mokka (74.), Schnix (84.) ***--- Unlike most of their top rivals, Fjortoft's Friends managed to win this round, greatly increasing their chances of medals. Only goal difference separates them from second place now...

G.I.D. - Mishima Zaibatsu 0 : 5 Scorers: --- ***Devil Jin (49., 58.), True Ogre (30.), Kazuya Mishima (18.), Hwoarang (19.) Another deserved defeat for the Truth Seekers - it's starting to look more and more like relegation, and they need a great last weekend to survive...
Twin Peaks Owls - Fjortoft's Friends 0 : 0 Sent off: Antonio Mora (67.) ***--- Booked: Dougie Milford ***The Stepover Despite the red card, the Bookhouse Boys were actually best in this matchup, and only luck let Fjortoft's Friends escape with a point.
FC Asskickers - First Men of Rome 4 : 3 Scorers: Kenichiro (49.), Sting (31.), Bill Goldberg (60.) ***Daniele de Rossi (76.), Falcao (87.), Roberto Pruzzo (69.) Penalties: 1 ***- One of the definite top matches of the round became just as tight as the fans had hoped. FC Asskickers opened best, but seemed to run out of steam towards the end of the match, and the Toga Boys almost - but just almost - caught up towards the end.
Blue Revolution - Gangsters United 4 : 0 Scorers: Kenichi (6., 23.), Kazuya (45.), Kunihiko (37.) ***--- After losing the previous game, Blue Revolution were intent on recovering, and did so easily against their visitors from Sicily.
FC Mokum - Sleep Wanderers 0 : 0 FC Mokum were stronger, but didn't create much. Night Terrors thus got another point, and what looked hopeless, suddenly looks like potential survival!
Alphabet FC - Tamriel Athletic 1 : 5 Scorers: Ww (80.) ***Eliza Pierrane (24., 80.), Mzunchend (13.), Puny Ancus (46.), Bumph gra-Gash (13.) The teams were pretty even on paper when the Letters' home advantage was added, but the visitors had a better strategy and won out deservedly.

Thinkers FC - Extreme 4 : 2 Scorers: Giovanni Pico della Mirandola (38., 49., 62.), David Hume (14.) ***van Persie (20.), Rooney (81.) Booked: --- ***Pires, Scholes Thinkers FC need to win the remaining games to survive, and managed to come through on the first test, at home against promotion contenders Extreme. It was in fact deserved too!
Springfield United - Sheffield Thursday 0 : 0 Booked: --- ***Dave Bush Springfield United lacked enough players to field a full eleven, but through a whole lot of luck, they managed not to receive any goals.
Slartibartfast FC - Dummys 1 : 3 Scorers: Old Thrashbarg (44.) ***Live (4., 45.), Doe Maar (18.) Booked: --- ***Tjiesto Dummys get a bit ahead of their chasers with this away win, and are certainly looking like the favourite for third place with three games to go.
Feyenoord - Erkrath Gladiators 0 : 4 Scorers: --- ***Ragnar Huehnerbein (49., 71.), Guenay Attes (65.), Daniel Klein (58.) Booked: --- ***Benjamin Koehnen, Jochen Sproetel Despite Feyenoord actually being the stronger team in this matchup, the Lunatics managed to fight their way to a win - which somehow became a really comfortable scoreline. Ladida FC - Kremlin 3 : 0 Scorers: Dixie (28.), Paris (11.), Pixie (36.) ***--- Ladida FC had complete control of this game, not allowing a single shot on their goal. With that, they've secured their promotion to the Premiership, with three rounds to go!
Car Park Rangers - The Ages 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Cambrian (45.) Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: Eric Draven, Piotr Rasputin ***--- A match that could have gone either way, but the Powers missed all their chances, whereas Cambrian managed to put one in. So both points for the Ages, and they have managed to guarantee promotion with three games to go. Well done!
Lexington League Match day 20 ======
The Ages - Thinkers FC 2 : 0 Scorers: The Future (21.), Perm (53.) ***--- Top team the Ages put the final nail in the Thinker coffin; without points here, the away team is going down. The Ages, however, have made sure they get a top two finish! Will they win the league, or will Ladida FC take it?
Kremlin - Car Park Rangers 2 : 1 Scorers: Inga Marte Thorkildsen (79.), Martin Kolberg (56.) ***--- Penalties: - ***1 Sent off: Roar Flaathen (88.) ***--- Booked: Lee Chaolan ***Bruce Banner Kremlin picked the right strategy to overcome the Powers, and despite a late game red card, they managed to ride their single goal lead to the very end.
Erkrath Gladiators - Ladida FC 5 : 4 Scorers: Ragnar Huehnerbein (46., 49., 63.), Jochen Sproetel (75.), Daniel Klein (66.) ***Petra (53., 81.), Cowboy-Laila (11.), Beyonce (88.) Booked: Joerg Sieselack, Michel Prinz ***--- Despite big difference on the table, the Lunatics had good control of this game. Only when they got sloppy towards the end of the game, did Ladida get a chance to catch up.
Dummys - Feyenoord 1 : 0 Scorers: Live (8.) ***--- Dummys managed to get an early goal from Live, and after that, not much happened in this game. Still third place; can they managed to take the step up to the top flight this season?
Sheffield Thursday - Slartibartfast FC 5 : 0 Scorers: Craig Counsell (14.), Jeff Suppan (68.), Anthony Gwynn (84.), Dave Bush (22.), Joe Dillon (4.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Wolverine A lucky point for Trion from the visitors... or should I say unlucky? Instead of stealing a point, they instead got an overstated scoreline against.
Extreme - Springfield United 3 : 2 Scorers: Henry (53., 72.), Fabregas (83.) ***Tingel-Tangel-Bob (39.), Milhouse (47.) Booked: Gerard, Giggs, Henry ***--- Springfield United were still weakened by suspensions, and Extreme knew to take advantage of that, taking a deserved win and keeping up in the race for promotion.

Desassossego Blues - Harestua IL 7 : 2 Scorers: Alberto Caeiro (25., 32., 42.), Fernando Pessoa (53., 75.), Chevalier de Pas (84.) ***Apollon Sopa (88.), Rudi Martinsen (4.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Torgeir Bjarmann, Trond Sandodden The Blues get their ninth home win of the season, having control of this game with significantly stronger play.
Dead Dino Storage - Saturday Morning FC 4 : 0 Scorers: Black Bonzo (50.), Marillion (50.), Fates Warning (10.), Dream (87.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Calvin The 2Ds were weakened by suspensions, and not even the right strategy could help them in this one.
Greensleeves United - Al Rassan United 3 : 3 Scorers: Henry Hallon (42.) ***Brandin (5., 24.), Yoshimitsu (37.) Penalties: 2 ***- Booked: Bernando Soares ***Brandin, Mazur ben Avren, Zabira Greensleeves missed a suspension, and had their strategy weakened because of that. However, despite being outplayed, they still managed to get away with a point.
Frackers FC - Coventry 4 : 1 Scorers: Furundan (35., 77.), Caprica (17.), Laura (49.) ***Thomas Hall (56.) Sent off: --- ***Nestor Aparatschik (43.) Booked: Boomer ***--- Coventry got a player sent off in the first half, and never really stood much of a chance in this one. Both teams are struggling about whether to leave the division or not, but in opposite directions.
Dispelliarmus FC - Gamblers United 1 : 3 Scorers: Clara Finningwater (40.) ***Ellen Elevator (17., 70.), Stephanie Strongpoint (47.) An important away win for the Gamblers, strengthening their chances of promotion. Dispelliarmus, however, need every point they can get as well, and it looks like this one will remain a thriller until the very last game...
PSV - AZ 2 : 0 Scorers: Alex (21.), Beerens (47.) ***--- Sent off: --- ***Ari (67.) Booked: Koenders, Mendez ***--- PSV take a big step towards survival after winning this prestiguous Smolders derby. However, nothing's decided still....

AZ - Desassossego Blues 0 : 3 Scorers: --- ***Fernando Pessoa (69.), Alberto Caeiro (57.), Chevalier de Pas (80.) Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- The Blues assure themselves of promotion with this win, dealing a decisive blow to their opponents' chances of the same. Well done.
Gamblers United - PSV 4 : 0 Scorers: Betty Bender (14., 76.), Bonnie Bouncer (54.), Felicia Ferocious (70.) ***--- Another fine win for the Gamblers. The race for the third place is still tight, but the Gamblers have now established themselves firmly in the driver's seat.
Coventry - Dispelliarmus FC 3 : 0 Scorers: Nestor Aparatschik (20., 72.), William Chambers (83.) ***--- Booked: Phillip Jones ***--- A crucial fourpointer in the relegation struggle. Fans from all over came to the game, and the chants to the opposing crowd of 'Going Down, Going Down!' resounded loudly. In the end, it was the Sky Blues, lifted forward by the home fans, who managed to claim both points, and suddenly are in a rather good position for avoiding relegation.
Al Rassan United - Frackers FC 11 : 5 Scorers: Yoshimitsu (12., 21., 35., 47.), Zabira (24., 27., 73., 87.), Garcia de Rada (17., 56.), Brandin (8.) ***Maya (41., 50.), Fettrik (10.), Jackson (34.), Furundan (20.) Booked: Almalik ***--- A top match which had promise of being goal-rich and entertaining, judging by both teams' performances from earlier this season. In the end, the home team showed themselves quite a bit stronger, and managed to score eleven goals for a comfortable win.
Saturday Morning FC - Greensleeves United 11 : 3 Scorers: Elmer Fudd (21., 62., 81.), Rodimus Prime (16., 23.), Snoopy (51., 77.), Dr Elephant (37.), Wizard of Id (39.), Magilla Gorilla (12.) *** Frederick Robinson (1., 75.), Henry Hallon (55.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: Hobbes ***Henry Hallon Greensleeves overlooked their suspension again, and this game against relegation rivals Saturday Morning became a completely one-sided affair. Still, with their point this weekend, the Greensleeves are not yet down... Harestua IL - Dead Dino Storage 2 : 5 Scorers: Reidar Skoien (34.), Rudi Martinsen (78.) ***Marillion (35., 84.), Dream (9., 75.), The Third Ending (67.) Harestua kept up better than one could have expected against Dead Dino Storage, considering their visitors' parading of the division. However, with a strong end sprint, DDS managed to get a three goal win out of it.
Kirkwood Showdown Match day 19 ======
Sjokoladen BK - St. Helens 4 : 0 Scorers: Melke Sjokolade (50., 82.), Milky Way (45.), Sfinx (30.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Barry Blackadder, Harry Space, Mike Hunt, Tom Reid St. Helens were weakened by suspensions for this game, and were bulldozed by Nam Nam. In the process, they earned another two suspensions.
Team Tobbi - NotReallyNewBremenCyberdruids 3 : 3 Scorers: Paul Red (61.), Torbjoern 'Tobbi' Eriksen (19.), Rio Kicksyourass (67.) ***Jim the Nosferatu (84.), Maurice P. Schmidt (78.), Michaela Di Vani (58.) Led by an early goal from their playing manager, Team Tobbi managed to hold the Cyberdruids to a draw despite being far inferior in play.
Time Will Tell - the Professors of Jazz 2 : 1 Scorers: Garnix (49., 82.) ***Fats Waller (89.) Booked: --- ***Dizzy Gillespie With the visitors picking the right strategy, there was actually very little between these clubs in terms of strength, despite Time Will Tell's stellar home record. However, in the end, the home team managed to convert a small play advantage into a win.
The Potato People - Call of Cthulhu 0 : 1 Penalties: - ***1 Sent off: --- ***The Quest of Iranon (67.) Booked: Earl Potato, Valerie Potato ***Bride of Re-Animator Potato People's perfect home record fell prey to incredibly hard-fighting Call of Cthulhu, who by this win assured their promotion into Berkeley for next season. The victory was rather on the lucky side, but not one of the away team fans cared about that...
Fantasy Finale - Interchangeable Parts 3 : 2 Scorers: Ward Zabac (36., 78.), Barret Wallace (15.) ***DM1 (5.), M2 (40.) A rather even game, where the home advantage became decisive in the end, despite the Parts getting the first goal in.
Power of Dulepytters - Gunnar 2 : 0 Scorers: Paolo Maldini (57.), Gerd Mueller (7.) ***--- PoD distance Gunnar in the struggle to avoid last place; it seems pretty certain now that Gunnar will finish last.

Booked: --- ***Thorfelder Pommes The Professors of Jazz managed a point at home against the table toppers, but judging by play and chances, this was just a horribly unlucky weekend for Espen Brill's team...

We're nearing the end of the season, so I'd like to hear back from you with regards to whether you want to continue with all your teams or if you want to drop some. Now is also a good time to tell potential new players about the game. I'm sure we can find room for your friends :)
Six managers were silent this time as well, of which five were also silent last time.
The medals are now to be distributed among three clubs – Mishima Zaibatsu, FC Asskickers and Fjortoft's Friends. Who gets which set are still to be decided, though. A crucial battle next week will be Fjortoft's Friends hosting thei rivals FC Asskickers! Alphabet FC have now slumped down into the relegation zone with 12 points, three ahead of Sleep Wanderers and G.I.D. Who both have 9. Tamriel Athletic, currently on safe ground, have 13. Fjortoft's Friends are luckiest in the Premiership, whereas Gangsters United are unluckiest.
The Ages have surpassed Ladida FC at the top of the Lexington table, and both have already promoted as top two. We'll see next round who wins the division. Dummys currently hold the last promotion spot, but Sheffield Thursday and Extreme are only two points behind. In the relegation zone, we find Feyenoord, Thinkers FC and Slartibartfast FC, all three already relegated. Dummys are now luckiest of Lexington, whereas Feyenoord remain unluckiest.
Dead Dino Storage have sown up the Berkeley championship now, a week before the end of the season. No other teams have managed this feat this season. Desassossego Blues follow closest, and have also made sure of their second place. Gamblers United are currently in third, with a two point lead on Al Rassan United in fourth. The relegation fight is close and exciting with a club on every point from 9 to 13 – from top to bottom, Saturday Morning FC, Coventry, PSV, Dispelliarmus FC and Greensleeves United. It'll be a thriller of a last week, involving for example a matchup between Saturday Morning FC and Dispelliarmus FC. AZ remain luckiest, PSV remain unluckiest.
The top three are decided in Kirkwood, but not who places where. Potato People (35), Time Will Tell (32) and Call of Cthulhu (31) have all done great seasons and far distanced the others. Gunnar is last and need to win away against the Lurking Fear in the last weekend to have any hopes of surviving. Time Will Tell are now top of the luck table in Kirkwood, whereas Interchangeable Parts are now unluckiest.
Luckiest of all is Fjortoft's Friends, followed by Dummys and First Men of Rome. The unluckiest is now Feyenoord, followed by Gangsters United and Slartibartfast FC.
The home advantage is still 9 VP. In the next issue, rounds 21 and 22 will be played. The final of the Rosedale Knockout will also take place.
