One More Light was promoted by the band with various acoustic performances by Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda from the lead single at many promotional events and interviews. Some of them included performances with Kiyara, Waks and Sofia Karlberg. One More Light is the seventh studio album by American rock band Linkin Park. Tracklist-New, final and latest album from Linkin Park doesn't have any rock in it, it seems, and sounds like a teenage band of wannabes of superstars. What happened to rock stars under the influence of metal? There was no more cruelty in the guitar riffs, no more cries in Chester's singing, it seems that they want to reinvent themselves as the Transformers saga, and in an attempt they become pop and empty music. The only thing to keep the vibe is rapper Mike Shinoda's Good Goodbye, the only wonderful song on the album that has the atmosphere of the good old days when they started with the rebels and the energy that mixed rock and hip-hop there for the 00s. As the songs advanced I didn't hear any shout from Chester, and just listened more and more pop, almost like Maroon 5. This new sound seems so American, so produced by machines, for late movies, for credit scenes, no guitar, no bass, only Chester and fetching, no more Dj do scratching, no more Mike Shinnod rape. With Sharp Edges they completely lost me. This is a strange end for one of the greatest and most beloved rock bands in history. The album is also the band's first album to release the title track, as they felt that the song One More Light was the heart of the album. The lead single featuring Kiiara was released on February 16, 2017. Battle Symphony, Good Goodbye and Invisible were released as promotional singles before the album's release. Talking to Myself and One More Light were released as radio singles later. The album performed well on a commercial basis, debuting at number one in several countries; it also became the fifth number one album on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold in five countries. Despite the positive commercial performance, it received mixed reviews from music critics. This, along with the sales allegations, prompted an angry reaction from Bennington.In 2014 Linkin Park released their sixth studio album The Hunting Party. The album, produced by Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson, marked a shift from total rock sounding to their previous albums, produced with the help of Rick Rubin. The one More Light pre-production began in mid-2015 during Shinoda's Hunting Party tour on his phone. The main production began immediately after the end of the tour. At the same time, the band decided to write songs with some external help. They've been working with caret Hassan, bringing his song Sailing Through the Clouds, Martin Garrix, Hot Karl, Mike Baxor of Her0, The Lonely в результате чего «Things in My» My» and one Ok Rock. On why they chose Heavy to present the album to the world, he told Billboard: One of the reasons we chose Heavy as the first single is that it's really the main sound of the album. It wasn't a script where the whole album sounds one way, and the single sounds different. That's what the album sounds like. So we wanted to come out with a song where everyone can understand the direction of this work. According to him, many songs on the album can make the listener remember old songs The Cure or Tears For Fears. In an interview with MusicRadar, Brad Delson explained: I ended up putting a lot of guitar on this album. There's a lot of layers and a lot of different guitars. The guitar work is fine and complements all the other elements that we have put in there. I consider guitar to be the dominant ingredient in any soup. The minute I put loud heavy guitars in the arrangement, I feel like it's a heavy color. One of the goals of producing this album was to understand any concept of the genre. We were looking for ways to match the influences that we have in a way that you haven't heard before. Building a guitar work in what was a fun challenge. I love the guitar work and tones that our engineer Ethan helped create with me and Mike (Shinoda) throughout the album. Even if you don't hear the guitar in the foreground in a heavy hand way, there's really a ton of guitar on this album and I'm very proud of it. Brad Delson talked about his guitar work, Delson said, I love the acoustic work on Sharp Edges. I really like all the layers of guitars on Invisible as well. There's also a really unique presentation of the guitar in a way that I don't think we've ever done on a song called Sorry For Now. It was one of the things we were really excited about - it's wildly different from anything we did. The albums include collaborations with songwriters and other artists. 'Heavy' features pop singer's vocals And The Good Farewell features verses by rappers Pusha T and Stormzy. The album was described as pop, pop rock and electropop. One of Bennington's last performances with Linkin Park on July 4, 2017 at the O2 Brixton Academy in London.The band wrote and recorded mainly in Los Angeles, but also had several sessions in London and Canada, where they worked with several songwriters. In Los Angeles, the band began working at Larrabee Studios, where they worked on their previous album. Noticing that the band needed a little more space, they switched to Sphere Studios. Beginning in early 2016, the band decided for the first time to open its process to fans through social networks, making live broadcasts, posting photos and videos of their day in the studio and sending studio updates to their mailing list.

He was halfway through a string of sixteen consecutive #1 singles on the country chart in the industry-leading “Billboard” magazine, and had just been invited to appear at New York City’s prestigious Carnegie Hall. Already designated a National Historic Landmark, the esteemed venue had hosted Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky, Gershwin, Bernstein, and Ellington. Owens recognized the honor of being asked, but instructed his manager, Jack McFadden, to decline the offer. “When they first started talking about it, it scared me to death,” he admitted in a 1967 radio interview with Bill Thompson. Buck was worried the Manhattan audience wouldn’t be interested in his music, and he wanted to avoid the embarrassment of unsold tickets. McFadden pushed him to reconsider. To explore this field, we used an online quantitative survey (N= 761) followed up by 60 in-depth interviews, asking questions about musical preferences. Both the survey and the interviews disclose strongly gender-specific patterns of musical preference, the women preferring rock and alternative genres while the men tend to prefer pop and more commercial genres. While the sexual orientation of the musician is not very relevant to most participants, they do identify certain kinds of music that are strongly associated with lesbian and/or gay culture, often based on the play with codes of masculinity and femininity. Our findings confirm the popularity of certain types of music among Flemish lesbians and gay men, for whom it constitutes a shared source of identification, as it does across many Western countries. The qualitative data, in particular, allow us to better understand how such music plays a role in constituting and supporting lesbian and gay cultures and communities.
