Day 2 Drive 3hrs to Tulou in Nanjing County. It is the Entrance to the Hakka Villages where we spent 2 nights in local hotels/lodges. The Hakka clans left the Central Plains of China during the 2nd and 3rd centuries because of famine and persecution. They found new living grounds in the peaceful green of the province Fujian. With great craftsmanship they developed a building style that is unique in the world,3 to 5 stories high constructions- Tulou–build with a mixture of earth, glutinous rice,brown sugar, bamboo and wood chips. In a Tulous 600 people could live in individual houses and form a closed community. The round Tulou most interesting and stand like fortresses in the landscape. But there are also very beautiful square and oval buildings. Drive to Ta Xia (Water village) first signs of the Tulou buildings, then we visit the Yuchang Tulou, the oldest one in existence. It was 700 years ago build by 5 Hakka families and is 5 stories high. Inside you find on the ground floor the kitchens with each an own well. On the floors above are store living rooms, spaces worshiping the ancestors. Outside houses are tiny shops where the local products are made and sold. In the middle of the vast round space is a building for ceremonies, meetings and other activities.

Day 3 Drive through the mountains-richly covered by bananas fields, bamboo and other tropical trees to the most famous Tulou cluster in Tianluoking. Here are three different types of Tulou combined: 3 round ones,1square and1 oval. The cluster is nicknamed “Four Dishes One Soup”.Walk down to restaurant building. We climb up HongKeng Village in the Yongding County, the lodge near the picturesque watermill and visit the several impressive Tulous, with carved wooden beams pillars.biggest Tulou is Zhencheng Lou build in 2 concentric circles, 222 rooms and a large ancestral hall for ceremonies and performances. Once across the pass, the magnificent Yamdrok Yumtso appears before eyes, with a chain of snow clad peaks on the backside in the distance. “Yamdrok Yumtso” means “Tuquoise Lake” in Tibetan. In the morning NO Clouds We go with the New Cable Car we cross the Glacier and have Breathtaking marbelous views on the 2 Glaciers and the Top of Gongga .The clouds are coming from out of the Valley around 11.30 so we can make photo,s and walk over the Glacier .After we are back we walk through the Rain Forest 20 minutes back to our hotel and with the Bus from the National Park we drive down to Moxi Entrance .Here we change the bus for our 6hrs 375 km to Chengdu We go through the Erlang Tunnel 10km.long passing with marvelous view on the “King of Shiquan Mountain 7556m Mt.Gongga pass through city Ya’an on 600m. valley of the Qingyi River, arrive in evening our Hotel in Chengdu. Day 13. Chengdu, Transfer to airport for Flight back to Europe.
