BEAUTIFUL – The Musical and KINKY BOOTS Highlight the 2017-18 Broadway in Eugene Series at the Hult Center

EUGENE, OR – The soundtrack to a generation BEAUTIFUL – The Carole King Musical and the Tony Award®- winning Best Musical KINKY BOOTS highlight the 2017-18 Broadway In Eugene Series, presented by Theater League at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts.

The Broadway in Eugene line-up features the best of Broadway, including the musical sensation, BEAUTIFUL – The Carole King Musical, the high-heeled hit, KINKY BOOTS, the record-breaking smash, THE MUSICAL and the legendary classic, . Theater League will also present a season add-on, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, THE BOOK OF MORMON.

The 2017-18 Broadway in Eugene series of national touring productions includes:

BEAUTIFUL – The Carole King Musical October 11-15, 2017 BEAUTIFUL – The Carole King Musical tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband , to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends and , to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.

Featuring a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including “,” “One Fine Day,” “(You Make Feel Like) ,” “You’ve Got A Friend” and the title song, BEAUTIFUL has a book by and Tony Award-nominee and Academy® Award-nominated writer Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni, choreography by Josh , and took home two 2014 and a 2015 Grammy® Award.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL February 2-3, 2018 It began as one man's story… became everyone's music… and is now Broadway's musical.
