THE FUND FOR PROFESSIONAL CHILDREN'S SCHOOL

The Fund for Professional Children’s School is the cornerstone of Professional Children’s School’s fundraising efforts. It is made up of gifts from parents, alumni, foundations, faculty, staff, and friends. We strive to keep tuition as affordable as possible while continuing to provide an excellent academic program, and money raised through the Fund for Professional Children’s School helps to bridge the gap between tuition income and the cost of a PCS education. (Tuition alone covers only 86% of the cost of a PCS student's education.)

BOAT CRUISE SEPTEMBER 6, 2018 We kicked off the 2018-2019 school year with our annual Circle Line Boat Cruise on September 6, 2018, where we welcomed the entire PCS community of current students, their families, faculty, and staff. The PCS boat cruise especially gives our new students joining us from out of state or abroad the opportunity to see from a unique vantage point.

Many thanks to our Board of Trustees for generously underwriting the event. This year, their support made it possible for everyone to ride free of charge.

ANNUAL REPORT ON GIVING 2018–2019 31 PROFESSIONAL CHILDREN’S SCHOOL SPRING GALA

A RECORD- BREAKING YEAR!

Thanks to our guests and supporters, this year's Spring Gala was our most successful to date! The PCS community's generosity through ticket sales and sponsorships contributed nearly $250,000 in support of the Financial Aid Fund, which set a new fundraising record for the school. We especially thank the Host Committee and our Honorary Chairs Michele and Tim Barakett. This year, 37% of PCS students received financial aid enabling them to attend.

This year's Spring Gala was held at The Edison Ballroom in midtown Manhattan on Monday, April 29, 2019. The evening featured presentations of the PCS Legacy Award to: Jack Antonoff '02, Anne Ausubel and Tanya Rivero Warren (née Gingerich) '89. Guests also enjoyed a moving student performance piece, A Place for Us, which portrayed the history of PCS through spoken word and music. This piece was directed by Vincent Sagona, with musical direction by Luke McGinnis.
