It became the best-selling live album in the United States after Eric Clapton's album Unplugged in 1992, later becoming the best-selling live album in U.S. music history. It was certified 21× Platinum by the RIAA (10.5 million sent as it is a double album), and is the seventh most sent album in the U.S. By 2012, 6,017,000 copies had been sold. Double Live was re- updated on September 5, 2014 as Double Live: 25th Anniversary Edition, exclusively for GhostTunes.
