U SPORTS TEAM CANADA FUNDRAISING TOOL

To aid the Canadian delegation financially, U SPORTS is continuing to develop a Fundraising Tool which may be used by all participants. The U SPORTS fundraising platform is on rallyme.com. The 2019 Summer Universiade Team Canada delegation will have a dedicated Rally Me page, specific to the sport. More information and detailed instructions will be released once we have confirmed interested Sports participation.

2018 World University Futsal Championship: https://www.rallyme.com/rallies/12158/wucfutsal

The 2018 World University Futsal Championship was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on August 19-26. Team Canada was able to raise funds toward their fees to travel to this Championship. This was used as a pilot fundraiser to kick start Crowd Funding as a tool for the U SPORTS International Program. Promotion of this fundraiser was mainly through the Team via word of mouth (family and friends) where contributions could be made towards the team as a whole as well as an individual student-athlete and/or team official. This pilot was a prime example that family and friends are keen to support and contribute and also showed potential for the program if and when shared and promoted actively.

A U SPORTS Marketing and Promotions plan will be developed around the 2019 Summer Universiade ‘Rally’ for each of the teams participating which will be shared with each team to push the initiative. Campaigns are customizable and most effective when updated, attractive and promoted and U SPORTS will assist in any way possible.
