We’re enjoying the ‘intimate’ feel of the ground and the facilities here are excellent. On behalf of the players and committee of Tasman United, we hope you enjoy a great game of football today. Last week’s 4 – 4 draw against Hamilton Wanderers was certainly a more positive attacking style of play for the boys, and one we know the fans really enjoyed, but they want to do better to ensure they protect their leads at home and secure those wins. We know today will be a tough game against last year’s champions, but everyone is determined to put on a great show and give everything they have. And as we’ve seen over the past couple of weeks, the results in this year’s league are always interesting. As always, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those behind the scenes that make these home games so special, and the work undertaken by the TASMAN United committee to ensure the viability and sustainability of the club cannot be underestimated. I acknowledge our sponsors, for without their support we cannot do what we are doing, and the goodwill extended by our major sponsors, I hope, is appreciated across the region. Our major sponsors Nelson Pine LVL, Sprig and Fern Brewery and Bayleys, deserve the full support of this community in their business endeavours as they show such support to community teams like Tasman United. But that is not to forget our other sponsors who are also deserving of mention; Football Unlimited, Plus4 Insurance, Absolute Energy, NZME, NextGen Energy, Bowater Honda, BMG, BCM, The Sign Shop, Kahurangi Estate, Nelson Golf Club, Hamish Fletcher Lawyers, Nelson Weekly, Nelson College, Scott Construction and Waimea Print Express, who all contribute to the cause wholeheartedly and considerably. There are also the team partner businesses, who help immensely with the well-being of the squad, who also need a mention today – USL Medical, Telfers Electrical, Dutch Rusk Ltd, Powerade, Domino’s Pizza, Snap Fitness, McDonald’s Richmond, and Subway. Thank you for all your support. A warm welcome is extended to our visitors from Team Wellington today, I know they will appreciate the facilities and home team hospitality either side of the game. Please enjoy, and Go Tasman!! Clive Beaumont, General Manager Nelson Pine LVL Tasman United would like to thank our sponsors… Coach’s comments… Farewell and Thanks Robbie… Last week we said farewell to Robbie Pearson, who has headed back to the UK after a season Welcome to Team Wellington today, and also to our supporters. It’s and a half at Tasman United. We’ll miss Robbie and on behalf of everyone in the footballing another big game, as they all seem to be at this stage of the season. community, we wish him all the very best – and hopefully we’ll see him back here one day. Jose’s team has been playing some very attractive football and they are more than worthy of being at the top of the leader board. We are still finding our feet after the Christmas break, and judging by last Sunday’s performance and result, we are not too far off where we need to be. However, we still have plenty of room for improvement and this needs to be done sooner rather than later because there are not many games left to play this season. Team Wellington will be a big challenge for us today, and as the defending champions, they are always the favourites wherever they play. Having said that, we will do whatever we can to put in a good performance and to achieve our goals set for this game. As always, the team and myself greatly appreciate your support every week. All the best to both teams today, and please enjoy yourselves. Regards, Davor Tavich (Head Coach) About our visitors… Team Wellington FC was formed in 2004 by a consortium of Wellington clubs to compete in the NZ Football Championship. Our next home game… NELSON PINE LVL TASMAN UNITED V SOUTHERN UNITED Sunday 5th November 2017 Trafalgar Park, Nelson 2pm Michael “Duffy” du Feu… We would like to pass on our sincere thoughts and best wishes to Mike’s family who are hopefully all here today. We will miss Duffy greatly and what he did to help Tasman United in our first year. He will be extremely hard to replace and he will never be forgotten. Stu summed Duffy up well in the poem he wrote for his funeral earlier this year – and here’s just a few paragraphs we think are perfect for today… He was a special someone, that dedicated a lot to football And he liked boat racing and the speedway, and of course a good pub crawl And regardless of wherever he was, at times he could be scruffy But to everyone who ever met him… he soon became of course just Duffy And more recently with NBF, he’d really started to thrive He became a massive asset, and ended up good mates with Clive It was as if his passion had returned, and his love for the game reignited And he had one hell of a season helping… with the first year at Tasman United And with all sincerity when we heard the news, that Mike had passed away The feeling that we all had, it was a very upsetting day There’ll be an empty space with him not here, and we’ll forget him never With our own memories we all have of him… the name Duffy will live on forever Current league table… Team P W D L GD PTS Tasman United 2 2 0 0 4 6 Team Wellington 3 2 0 1 3 6 Eastern Suburbs 2 2 0 0 3 6 Auckland City 3 1 1 1 3 4 Hawkes Bay United 2 1 1 0 1 4 Southern

CASE STUDY – TEAM WELLINGTON WHO: TEAM WELLINGTON FC WHAT: Senior Football Club competing in New Zealand’s highest club league and associated competitions WHERE: Wellington, New Zealand COMPETE IN: New Zealand National League, OFC Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup 2018 FC Case Study - Team Wellington PROBLEM: Competing in a Southern Hemisphere Summer league, Tee Dubs was left with boring, picked-over, end-of-season Northern Hemisphere stock remnants that cost a bomb to print with sponsor logos and were a nightmare to replace as players left or arrived during the season. They were struggling to find the right designs in the right amounts at the right time - and the right price. SOLUTION: FC answered the call with the design, manufacture and delivery of a suite of fully-sublimated home, away, training and off-field uniforms. FC Case Study - Team Wellington The FC Team Wellington kits are totally original, one-of-a-kind designs that incorporate all seven sponsor logos with no extra printing costs. The stock order is tailored to their needs. No remnants. No items out of stock when they’re needed. PROCESS: An initial approach by the club in July 2017 was followed by introductory conversations and the production of an outline brief. The design team put together concept designs and after some discussion and tweaking, the designs were signed off, sampled and put into production. Manufactured at FC’s factory partner in China, the finished articles were delivered to the Club well within deadline for the beginning of the NZ National League season in September 2017.
