Welcome to the third annual Prairie Rose School Division Kaleidoscope of the Arts.

The Board of Trustees and senior administration of Prairie Rose are proud of the artists we have in schools throughout our district and Kaleidoscope provides many great examples.

Once again, Kaleidoscope has grown significantly and we are confident growth will continue in future years allowing more and more students to exhibit their artistic talents.

Congratulations to all the students who are participating in Kaleidoscope. Also to be commended are the parents for their support and staff for their hard work in putting this event together.

We hope you will take the time to appreciate the skills exhibited at Kaleidoscope. There is much being offered.

In Loving Memory of Alicia Nairn Hargrave September 1, 1980 - July 4, 2007

Alicia began her early education in Irvine, Alberta and graduated from Eagle Butte High School in 1998. Alicia was the presi- dent for the student council and involved in many sporting activities. She began her post secondary education at the Lethbridge Community College where she played on the women’s team and graduat- ed with her diploma in Agriculture. Alicia furthered her educa- tion and obtained a degree in Range Management at the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with distinction in 2002.

In 2005, Alicia along with her brother James took over manag- ing the JH Ranch and Alicia became very involved in minimizing the impact of gas well development on native prairie grasslands and the flora and fauns that thrived there. Alicia loved the out- doors and the ranching life. She was contracted by the Saskatchewan Government and worked diligently to complete a series of field guides for the Saskatchewan Forage Council.

Her traveling bug was inherited from her late parents, Harry and Anthea and became one of Alicia’s great passions. Africa, Mexico, Thailand, Greece and New Zealand were a few of the special places she visited in her lifetime, as well as the numer- ous trips made to Australia to visit family. Other activities Alicia enjoyed included photography, painting, music and sports.
