  • What's Loyalty Got to Do with It
What‘s Loyalty Got To Do With It Researching the Factors Influencing Customer Loyalty Concerning the Consumption of Music Richard Sanders MSc BA Marketing, Faculty of Management and Organization, University of Groningen Abstract: Is it a prerequisite to focus solely on illegal downloading, when writing an article about the music industry? Should it not be more important to focus on those consumers remaining loyal and committed to musical artist(s), and subsequently learn from them? This study researches the factors influencing loyalty concerning the consumption of music, but more importantly the various ways in which they influence loyalty. The research was conducted among consumers purchasing music from the record store. The results report that gender, music genre, music discovery, music involvement and media behavior all influence loyalty. Interestingly, men are found to be much more (multi)loyal compared to women and purchase significantly more albums on average. It is suggested that this is partially influenced by the different ways men and women discover new music, and their differences concerning music involvement. Downloading in addition to purchasing music did not affect the (multi)loyalty of consumers, however it did influence the number of albums purchased per month. Therefore it is suggested that downloading might not hurt the artist(s) a consumer is committed to, thus underlining the importance of customer loyalty. Finally, a low percentage of all the respondents indicated their willingness to purchase music online in the near future, subsequently leading to the suggestion that consumers will remain loyal to the physical album format. © 2007 University of Groningen Keywords: customer loyalty; music industry; album sales 1.

  • You Say Goodbye, I Say Tony & Kris Together Again for the First Time
July 17, 2017, Issue 559 Together Again For The First Time There’s more to the new WWYZ/Hartford morning pairing than the typical late career format jump. Many years ago, Cory Myers met a friend at the suburban Hartford nightclub Fantasia. While there, she had a conversation with the booth deejay about her interest in radio. Myers spent a year-and-a-half as an intern for that deejay, Damon Scott, at Hot AC WTIC-FM before mov- ing on to a career that culminated in her now two-decade run at crosstown Country WWYZ. Last month, Scott joined Myers in mornings at WWYZ. As for the club, it’s now called Cadillac Ranch. And, yes, they play country. Cory Myers Chemistry Lab: With their history, Scott and Myers have an obvious chemistry that may actually be combustible. “I have a couple of working titles for this story,” jokes Scott. “’The Future of Country Music’ or ‘Two Mete- ors Collide.’” With that, he and Myers are off My Guy: The Curb crew celebrates Dylan Scott’s first No. 1 “My to the races, finishing each other’s sentences Girl” today in Nashville. • Call for Papers | 2022 MRS Spring Meeting
Symposium CH01: Frontiers of In Situ Materials Characterization—From New Instrumentation and Method to Imaging Aided Materials Design Advancement in synchrotron X-ray techniques, microscopy and spectroscopy has extended the characterization capability to study the structure, phonon, spin, and electromagnetic field of materials with improved temporal and spatial resolution. This symposium will cover recent advances of in situ imaging techniques and highlight progress in materials design, synthesis, and engineering in catalysts and devices aided by insights gained from the state-of-the-art real-time materials characterization. This program will bring together works with an emphasis on developing and applying new methods in X-ray or electron diffraction, scanning probe microscopy, and other techniques to in situ studies of the dynamics in materials, such as the structural and chemical evolution of energy materials and catalysts, and the electronic structure of semiconductor and functional oxides. Additionally, this symposium will focus on works in designing, synthesizing new materials and optimizing materials properties by utilizing the insights on mechanisms of materials processes at different length or time scales revealed by in situ techniques. Emerging big data analysis approaches and method development presenting opportunities to aid materials design are welcomed. Discussion on experimental strategies, data analysis, and conceptual works showcasing how new in situ tools can probe exotic and critical processes in materials, such as charge and heat transfer, bonding, transport of molecule and ions, are encouraged. The symposium will identify new directions of in situ research, facilitate the application of new techniques to in situ liquid and gas phase microscopy and spectroscopy, and bridge mechanistic study with practical synthesis and engineering for materials with a broad range of applications.

  • Volcano House Register Volume 2
Haw VolcanoesNa al Park National Service Park The Volcano House Register, Volume 2 1873-1885 In this volume, on almost every page, there are entries in which a writer merely gives his name, date, times of arrival and departure, and destination. In the other volumes, whenever this occurs, I mention that I omitted such an entry, and give the page number. But because there are so many such entries in this particular volume, it would become tedious both for the transcriber to record and the reader to read every case of such omission; so I am doing it once only, here at the beginning of the document. On the page facing page 1, there is a rough table of contents, listing the page numbers of various maps and signatures of Kalakaua, Louis Pasteur, etc. In addition, there is a poem: Index Some good Some mediocre And much rotten For the Lord's sake Don't write unless You have somethingHawai'i Volcanoes Park To say & can say it. National Park Ser no signature and no date Between 11 and 12 last night Mokuaweoweo started action again. The wind has been from the southward, and the whole day a dense body of smoke has been passing over Kilauea and across Puna, off to sea. Evidently a much greater portion of the crater is in action than in the eruption of August last. Had a heavy thunder shower about dusk with hail and this evening there is considerable lightning. Weather hazy and top of mountain seldom visible. Kilauea quite active but no lava flowing.

[email protected] • www.janusfilms.com “No one sees anything. Ever. They watch, but they don’t understand.” So observes Connie Nielsen in Olivier Assayas’s hallucinatory, globe-spanning demonlover, a postmodern neonoir thriller and media critique in which nothing—not even the film itself—is what it appears to be. Nielsen plays Diane de Monx, a Volf Corporation executive turned spy for rival Mangatronics in the companies’ battle over the lucrative market of internet adult animation. But Diane may not be the only player at Volf with a hidden agenda: both romantic interest Hervé (Charles Berling) and office enemy Elise (Chloë Sevigny) seem to know her secret and can easily use it against her for their own purposes. As the stakes grow higher and Diane ventures into deadlier territory, and as Sonic Youth’s score pulses, Assayas explores the connections between multinational businesses and extreme underground media as well as the many ways twenty-first-century reality increasingly resembles violent, disorienting fiction.
