We are probably living a paradox: we are rich and poor at the same time! Our villages, left by the young people just because they do not seem to provide them with perspectives, have a great wealth that is not taken into account, and, therefore, not valorised: the cultural patrimony and traditions. Prof. Dr. Corneliu Bucur, a well- known ethnologist and coordinator of the Thematic Work Group of the National Rural Development Network regarding the immaterial cultural patrimony, warns that without a national programme, our cultural heritage is dissipating and it cannot be valorised. He believes that an inter-ministerial effort is necessary in order to promote specialists at the level of all institutions which have a role in this field. At the same time, in order for the children to learn at school about their roots and the where costumes are made for folkloric Sibiu County.
