As quality new supply is absorbed and operators have implemented strategies to compete for overnight guests to support gaming and other amenities, average daily room rate has dropped. The recession is prompting visitors and locals to gamble less. Challenging economic conditions, including the turmoil in the credit markets, have also resulted in a scaled-back development pipeline. -

The Year 2006 was another record-setting year for our company as we executed on our operating and development plans around the globe. Our strong financial and operating performance, coupled with our victory in the global competition to build Singapore’s first Integrated Resort at Marina Bay, has clearly cemented our position as the preeminent worldwide developer and operator of premium convention-based destination hotel casino resorts. We again set occupancy and financial records at our flagship resort, The Venetian in Las Vegas. We also delivered record financial results at the Sands Macao, the first Las Vegas-style casino in The People’s Republic of China’s Special Administrative Region of Macao. In addition, we made substantial progress toward the completion of construction of two new mega-resorts, The Palazzo™, adjacent to The Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip, and The Venetian Macao, which will anchor our Cotai Strip™ development in Macao. Each of these resorts will open in 2007. In addition to our progress on The Venetian Macao, we continued to execute our master plan to develop the Cotai Strip into Asia’s premier leisure and convention destination. Executive Biography Stephanie Glanzer Chief Sales Officer & SVP MGM Resorts International Stephanie Glanzer, CMP, is Chief Sales Officer and Senior Vice President for MGM Resorts International. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s overall group sales strategy and operations comprised of industry relations, global sales and new developments as well as property operations including catering, convention services and wedding chapels. Stephanie and her team oversee and manage more than 4 million square feet of meetings and convention space in Las Vegas and throughout the U.S., positioning MGM Resorts as a leader in destination events and entertainment. Throughout her 23-year tenure with MGM Resorts, Stephanie has held a variety of executive sales positions within the organization including Vice President of Sales Strategy and Operations where she was responsible for ensuring effectiveness and consistency in the group sales operation across the enterprise. Before transitioning into her corporate roles, Stephanie was Vice President of Sales at Mandalay Bay and Delano Las Vegas where she provided strategic leadership and direction for the Hotel Sales department as well as Convention Services and Catering, with her teams overseeing more than 2 million square feet of convention and exhibit space. Prior to Mandalay Bay, Stephanie was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ARIA Resort & Casino and Vdara Hotel & Spa and a member of the CityCenter pre-opening team. There, she played an instrumental role in the planning, development and creation of ARIA as a premier convention destination which is now home to 500,000 square feet of flexible, luxury meeting space.
