Mission East Takhar will also cover three neighboring districts of located at the southern side of . 3 CHF projects updates ACTED: ACTED implements the CHF project to cover conflict IDPs in four districts of by CHF partners Takhar province such as Dasht-e-Qala, Baharak, Rotaq, and Taloqan city. ACTED has accomplished identification and selection of beneficiaries and selected 2,577 beneficiaries. The breakdown by district is as follows: Dasht-e-Qala 265 IDP families, Rustaq 395 IDP families, Baharak 691 IDP families and Taloqan 1,222 IDP families. 60% of the conflict IDPs will received 2 vouchers, and 40% of them will received 3 vouchers. Each voucher values are $50 which equals to 3,450 Afs. Vouchers have been prepared and so far not distributed. The beneficiaries can get their food items from suppliers based on their requirements. The contracts have already been signed by suppliers and they have installed the signs. ACTED distributes 750 NFI which is available in ACTED stock in Taloqan. DACAAR: DACAAR implements a CHF project which was designed for and Takhar provinces, the beneficiaries were Kunduz conflict IDPs. But as DACAAR re- assessed, they found that the conflict IDPs have returned to their homes in . Therefore the Takhar CHF project has been transferred to Kunduz province.

DRC: DRC implements a CHF project in Takhar province which covers 1,000 conflict IDP families in Rostaq and Taloqan city and 300 earthquake affected families in Takhar province. DRC will distribute USD 150 for category A and USD 60 for category B affected families. Discussion: ACTED has implemented the same project in Takhar province in Rostaq and Taloqan districts. ACTED stated that there are no remaining conflict IDPs to be included under the ACTED CHF project beneficiaries. It seems that agencies who have submitted proposals to CHF had made submissions not based on accurate number of affected families who were identified by assessment teams. DRC will select the CHF project beneficiaries in close coordination with Takhar DoRR and ACTED.
