  • Transcript of Hearing (Day 3)
1 Wednesday, 5 October 2016 2 (10.30 am) 3 THE CHAIRMAN: Good morning, Mr Beard. 4 MR BEARD: Mr Chairman, members of the tribunal, we are 5 moving on to factual evidence, and the first witness to 6 be called is Mr John Petter. 7 MR JOHN RICHARD MARTIN PETTER (sworn) 8 Examination-in-chief by MR BEARD 9 MR BEARD: Mr Petter, good morning. First of all, you 10 should have in front of you a set of bundles -- ah, they 11 are behind. That is a good start. 12 Those bundles, just for the tribunal's information, 13 should contain material that is confidential to BT. It 14 is obviously not material that is confidential to other 15 parties. So some of the redactions will be different 16 from the material you have before you. 17 Could you be passed bundle N1, or core 1, depending 18 on how it is labelled. If you could turn to tab B, 19 there is a document that, on the first page, is said to 20 be a witness statement of Mr John Richard Martin Petter. 21 If you turn to the back of that document, do you have 22 a signature page? 23 A. Yes, I do, page 79. 24 Q. Is this your witness statement? 25 A. That's right, it is, yes. 1 1 Q. Just for the tribunal's note, the versions you have 2 won't have a signature on the back page because, when 3 the confidentiality marking was done, it was done on an 4 electronic version? 5 THE CHAIRMAN: You will be pleased to know that I do have 6 a signature page.

  • Marina Abramovic Advises Public to Complain to a Tree to Help Heal from 2020.” the Art Newspaper
Editors. “Exclusive video: Marina Abramovic advises public to complain to a tree to help heal from 2020.” The Art Newspaper. November 27, 2020. "Trees are like human beings," says the performance artist Marina Abramovic. "They have intelligence. They have feelings. They communicate with each other. And also, they are perfectly silent listeners. You can complain to them." And letting out your frustrations about a dire 2020 to a tree is exactly the advice the artist is giving the public. The participatory performance Complain to a Tree is the latest addition to the “Abramovic Method”—a series of exercises developed by the artist for practicing being present—which she will reveal on a new Sky Arts programme. Abramovic is taking over the TV channel for five hours on 5 December, to teach audiences about performance art. Abramovic will be the first artist to take over Sky Arts, which has had an ambitious overhaul and went free in the UK in September. "For Sky Arts to give an artist five hours to do what they want is like a revolution. I feel an incredible responsibility that it should not be the last time: we have to really work, and we have to reach as many viewers as possible—especially, we’re targeting young viewers. After the five hours of this programme, everybody will know what performance art is, I hope,” Abramovic tells The Art Newspaper. Here are Abramovic's full instructions for Complain to a Tree One important thing is that you really choose a tree that you like. It can be small and even not that beautiful a tree.

  • A New Level to Pay TV Netflix Integration January 2019 Sky Ultimate on Demand Introduction
Sky Ultimate On Demand A new level to Pay TV Netflix Integration January 2019 Sky Ultimate On Demand Introduction In November 2018 Sky joined the long list of Pay TV operators that offer Netflix to their subscribers. With Movistar also launching at the end of 2018 in Spain, and OSN (Middle East) set for launching in 2019 we may have reached a tipping point with operators approach to Netflix. Operators who have been strong in building their own channels and services are now willing to fully embrace the importance of Netflix to their customers, and the belief that they are not competing for subscribers outweighs any issues over their competition for content and customer revenue. “We want Sky Q to be the number one destination for TV fans. Partnering with Netflix means we will have all the best TV in one great value pack, making it even easier for you to watch all of your favourite shows.” Stephen van Rooyen Chief Executive, Sky UK & Ireland Insight - Sky Ultimate On Demand January 2019 2 Sky Ultimate On Demand Netflix and Pay TV Operators Netflix’s first Pay TV integrations were in 2013 with TiVo boxes offered by Virgin Media (UK) and Com Hem (Sweden). Virgin were the first to add Netflix to their set-top-box in November 2013, and more have followed as Netflix’s market position has grown and operators realised they can work together. Operators have been adding Netflix to their own services to varying degrees, with variations to the user experience, billing, UHD availability and the pricing proposition.
