Listed by industries, data in this directory on fairs and events is sourced by JETRO’s comprehensive online trade fair database, J-messe (http://www.jetro.go.jp/en/database/j-messe/). JETRO launched “TRADE FAIRS IN JAPAN” in 1987, aiming to encourage more foreign businesses to join trade fairs and other exhibitions in Japan and to provide an additional means for Japan’s small and medium-sized firms to do business with overseas firms. The data covers trade fairs and events scheduled as of January 2012, to be held in April 2012 or after. As the schedule may be subject to change, we suggest you contact the organizers directly and confirm current details, when you are interested in a particular event. We would be most grateful if this directory could be of some help in providing you with suitable information. Vermont History Expo Photograph & News Media Collection, 2000-2012 FB-79 Introduction This collection contains selected newspaper and magazine articles, professional and amateur photographs, and slides of the Vermont History Expo during the years 2000 through 2012. It is housed in two document storage boxes and three archival storage boxes (3.25 linear feet). The core of the collection was transferred to the VHS Library by Sandra Levesque, Expo Coordinator working under contract to the VHS, in 2007. The remainder of the materials have been added from VHS office files. Organizational Sketch The Vermont Historical Society began hosting the Vermont History Expo at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds in Tunbridge, Vermont, for one weekend each June beginning in 2000. The event featured displays by participating local historical societies, museums, historical organizations, period crafters, demonstrators, and re-enactors. In addition there were historic presentations and speakers, musicians, heirloom animal displays and presentations, an authors’ tent, parade, and country auction. Thousands attended the weekend-long event which was held annually until 2008; the event resumed as a biannual event in 2010. The event had its genesis in the Heritage Weekend sponsored by the Cabot Creamery and the Vermont Historical Society in 1999. This event, an open house of historical societies in Washington and Orange Counties for one weekend in June, grew into the Vermont History Expo the following year. Sandra Levesque was the coordinator hired by the VHS to run the event between 1999 and 2006. The Expo event was preceded by a series of workshops for local historical societies on how to create effective displays.

The basic policy of the National Promotion Committee for Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting was determined in July for the other areas of the country, where work will advance on establishing a nationwide system. This article provides an overview of the schedule for analog channel adjustment countermeasures, broadcasts in Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka, digital broadcasting standardization, and work being conducted by related organizations toward digitalization of terrestrial broadcasts. It also explains broadcast-wave relay technology, which will play an important role in the future nationwide service. 1. • 2004 Suzuki Environmental & Social Report
SUZUKI ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL REPORT 2004 Introduction Since our founding, we have constantly pursued business activities in response to our customer’s needs while contributing to social advancement and benefits. And this ideal will never change. In order to maintain our business activities, continue to hold the trust and respect of our customers, clients, stockholders, and the local community, while broadening our contributions to the global society, it is important that each and ev- ery one of our executives and employees deeply appreciates that corporations not only exist for the purpose of financial profit, but exist to carry out social responsibilities as corporate citizens. One of the most important roles in being a corporate citizen is holding a deep commitment to environ- mental activities. The Japanese government’s new “Law Concerning the Promotion of Measures to Cope with Global Warming” requires that drastic improvements be made in automobile fuel efficiency, and ener- gy consumption be further reduced in manufacturing plants using the Top Runner System*. In order to meet these requirements, we at Suzuki are fully committed to achieving these government standards, and will work with utmost effort to expand the use of vehicles that achieve top runner standards at as early a date as possible, develop and promote fuel cell electric vehicles, reduce energy in our manufacturing plants, utilize wind generated power systems, etc. Under the motto “Small Cars — For A Big Future” Suzuki will push forward with manufacturing small cars and environmentally friendly products that meet the needs of our cus- tomers, and make aggressive efforts in a broad range of issues concerning environmental conservation.
