This Week: The construction of the Cabot Theatre. Modeled after an 18th-century French opera house, the building of the Cabot began in 1992 and required more than 10 designers to create the intricate details on the ceiling, balconies and proscenium arch. The balcony façade incorporates images of the Nine Muses and their attributes, including History, Poetry and Music. The Cabot ceiling features images of Milwaukee landmarks including City Hall, St. John’s Cathedral and Skylight's old building on Jefferson Street. The ceiling also highlights former Skylight Artistic Director Chas Rader- Shieber and co-chair of the building campaign and former Managing Director Colin Cabot.
