Intriguing StoryBy Adam uwHuPzYGx GrahamThe Eight Truths finds investigating strange phenomena in 1lqXRWQyR the sky while Lucie's hanging out in London, but then he gets a call that Lucie TbDoJbtMW can't have him his life as she's joined with the "Eight Truths Cult" to which the FRzKFSFp0 Doctor turns his attention. This is an incredibly engrossing story. The parts k35GQ1Zn3 about the cult are disturbingly realistic and chilling. While Lucie isn't herself in 8FvA6mXrI the story (which is the point), we get to see a different aspect of . er8XtsMFi In the end, the plot twists (including the return of an old enemy of the Doctor as zHxzBYnoI well an even older one) hold this together plus a very nice performance by 8Qjm2FG2m Sophie Winkleman as Kelly. The negative is that while this story is an easy 8 out zsNMwcUwS of 10, it could have been far better. The Doctor's lack of emotional reaction to liH7RrMjM Lucie's departure was odd as well as his decision to work with U.N.I.T. to find vyIKnDsLy out what was going on rather than confront the cult which would be more par FyvEnUGv2 for the course.Still, this was a very strong installment.1 of 1 people found the lhAjUyCOt following review helpful. Eddie Robson strikes again!By Peter IngemiWithout a question Eddie Robson is my absolute favorite writer for the Big Finish Audios with only one exception Dr Who Phobos (Dr Who Big Finish) he has given triumph after triumph, The Best 8th Doctor story Grand Theft Cosmos (Doctor Who: The New Eighth Doctor Adventures) is his. The Best 6th Doctor story The Condemned (Doctor Who) in the entire run is also his, (I'd love to see what he can do with 5 7).Once again he doesn't disappoint. The eight truths kept me guessing the entire way. The plot was simply wonderful, the story kept you begging for more and the performances all around just made it even better.Good performers can on occasion rise above a mediocre script but great performers take a good script and just make it brilliant Paul McGann, Sheridan Smith, Sophie Winkleman, Katarina Olsson, and Kelly Godliman all shine, in fact everyone in the cast shines so lets not leave out Sanjeev Bhaskar or Stephen Moore. They all deserve to be named and remembered.I find myself totally torn between looking up how it ends or waiting to get the next one. That's how good it is.I DO know that Sheridan Smith and Luice Miller is due to leave after episode 1 of season 4. Are we seeing the new companion in this episode? I don't know and won't look it up till after but we might. Either way this part 1 of a two parter leaves you begging for more. It's stories like this that make big finish what it is: The best source of New Doctor Who Adventures out there.Buy it.

London 2015. The Doctor's searching for a lost space probe, and Lucie's feeling just plain lost, on a world she no longer quite belongs to. As humankind counts down its last days, the Doctor races to unmask the Eightfold Truth, and uncovers an old enemy.
