We are delighted at the response that our call for works has received, and we hope you will enjoy all of the events at this festival. „Ein Musikalisches Farbenfest – Andra Darzins (Viola) spielt als Solistin und Kammermusikerin in Europa, Juwelen für Viola und Klavier“ Australien, Asien, Nord- und Südamerika. Von lettischen Eltern in Australien geboren. Studium in Adelaide. Churchill Fellowship, DAAD - Andra Darzins -Viola und Kolja Lessing – Klavier Stipendiatin in Berlin. Konzertexamen mit Auszeichnung. Solobratschistin im Philharmonischen Staatsorchester Hamburg. Von 1993 bis 2004 Professorin an der Musikhochschule Stuttgart . Sie hat bereits P r o g r a m m viele Werke zur Uraufführung gebracht, u.a. das ihr gewidmete Violakonzert der lettischen Komponistin Maija Einfelde. Andra Darzins ist Maija Einfelde (1939) Preisträgerin bei zahlreichen Wettbewerben. 1. Preis beim ABC Concerto Sonate-Meditation für Viola und Klavier Competition in Südaustralien, Prix Frédéric Liebstoeckl beim internationalen Concours de Genève, 2. Preis beim Lionel Tertis Andante replicato International Viola Competition und Eduard-Söring-Preis der Allegro energico Hamburgischen Staatsoper. Ihre Solo-CDs wurden von der Fachkritik hochgelobt. Die CD „America“, auf der sie die Solo-Viola in Feldmans Adagio "Rothko Chapel" mit dem SWR Vokalensemble spielt, wurde 2014 mit dem Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik ausgezeichnet. Max Reger (1873-1916) „Resignation“ op. 26., Nr. 5 für Klavier solo Kolja Lessing , einer der vielseitigsten Musiker unserer Zeit, hat als Geiger Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) und Pianist durch seine Verbindung von interpretatorischer und wissenschaftlicher Arbeit dem Musikleben prägende Impulse verliehen. Sonate Es Dur für Viola und Klavier, op. 120. Nr. 2 Durch seinen Einsatz wurden z.B.
