It was also directed that strict restrictions shall be imposed in the containment zones and in specific areas where the spread of desease is apprehended. The project area, lying in the catchment of Meenachil River, consists of seven micro watersheds namely Orappurakkad, Vellani, Areekkathodu, Vengattuthodu, Mesthiripadi, Nedungazhi and Maravikallu, covering Teekoy, Thalanad, Melukavu, Moonilavu, Erattupetta and Poonjar Gram Panchayaths.
