By plane In Milan, there is a total of three international airports, namely Milano Linate, Milano Malpensa and Milano Bergamo (Orio al Serio). From Linate to the city center: Linate is the closest airport to the city center (7 km East of Milan city center). You can easily reach Milano central station by: o Bus: operated by ATM and StarFly every 30 minutes – 5 euros one-way or 8 euros round trip – tickets can be bought on the bus. Round trip is cheaper, but you will have to wait for specific company for your trip back to the airport. It could make you lose a lot of time! Journey time: 25 min o Taxi: you can find taxis at “arrivals”, ground floor, exit gate 5 – around 30 euros, depending on the traffic. Journey time: 20 min o Car sharing: you have different car sharing services at P3 parking; check them out here . From Malpensa to the central station: situated 50 km north-western from Milan city center, it’s the second busiest airport in Italy for international passengers. It has two terminals and it’s directly connected to Milan Central Station by train, bus, taxi or car sharing. o Train: operated by Malpensa Express, from Terminal 1, level -1 (if you land in Terminal 2, there is a free shuttle bus connecting Terminal 1 with Terminal 2 every 20 minutes 24/24). Check timetable here; ticket costs 13 euros (one- way) or 20 euros round trip. Journey time: 60 min o Bus: there are several companies providing buses on the route Malpensa to Milan centre. This means that a bus departs every 10 minutes from Malpensa to Milan Central Station. Overnight departures are every 30 minutes. There is no significant difference between the bus companies, so it doesn't matter which bus you use, just buy a ticket for the next departure at the stand. Round trip is cheaper, but you will have to wait for specific company for your trip back to the airport. It could make you lose a lot of time! Ticket costs 8 euros (one-way) or 14 euros round trip. Journey time: 50 min o Taxi: you can find taxis at both Terminals; the fixed fare is 90 euros to Milan city center. Journey time: 45 min o Car sharing: you have different carsharing services in Milan, check them out here . It’s directly connected to Milan Central Station by bus and taxi. o Bus: you will find different bus companies providing buses on the route Bergamo to Milan centre. This means that a bus departs every 10 minutes from Bergamo Orio al Serio to Milan Central Station. Overnight departures are every 30 minutes. Among the main subsurface resources, a strong interaction between underground infrastructures and groundwater has emerged in many urban areas in the last few decades. Thus, listing the underground infrastructures is necessary to structure an urban conceptual model for groundwater management needs. Starting from a municipal cartography (Open Data), thus making the procedure replicable, a GIS methodology was proposed to gather all the underground infrastructures into an updatable 3D geodatabase (GDB) for the metropolitan city of Milan (Northern Italy). The underground volumes occupied by three categories of infrastructures were included in the GDB: (a) private car parks, (b) public car parks and (c) subway lines and stations. The application of the GDB allowed estimating the volumes lying below groundwater table in four periods, detected as groundwater minimums or maximums from the piezometric trend reconstructions.
