Resumo Analisamos, neste trabalho, o filme Anticristo (2009), do cineasta Lars von Trier, tomando como base um viés crítico que contemplasse a relação entre sua construção formal e seus conteúdos implícitos e explícitos. Assim como outras obras do artista, igualmente questionadoras, perturbadoras e políticas, Anticristo mostra-se capaz de apontar dinâmicas histórico-sociais relevantes para a compreensão de seu tempo, além de desnudar diversas características substanciais do pensamento hegemônico, espantosamente naturalizadas. Nesses termos, a tese proposta é a de que o filme reapropria-se de um método estético- político brechtiano com o fim de criar uma contraposição ao modelo dramático que orienta grande parte das produções cinematográficas mainstream. The camera and the operator can mount the dolly and access a smooth horizontal or vertical movement while filming a scene, minimizing any possibility of visual shaking. During the execution of dolly shots, the camera is either moved towards the subject while the film is rolling, or away from the subject while filming. This process is usually referred to as ‘dollying in’ or ‘dollying out’. Introduction Cinematographic techniques such as the choice of shot, and camera movement, can greatly influence the structure and meaning of a film. 2. Size of shot Examples of shot size (in one filmmaker's opinion) The use of different shot sizes can influence the meaning which an audience will interpret. The size of the subject in frame depends on two things: the distance the camera is away from the subject and the focal length of the camera lens. Common shot sizes: • Extreme close-up: Focuses on a single facial feature, such as lips and eyes. • Close-up: May be used to show tension. • Medium shot: Often used, but considered bad practice by many directors, as it often denies setting establishment and is generally less effective than the Close-up. • Long shot • Establishing shot: Mainly used at a new location to give the audience a sense of locality. Choice of shot size is also directly related to the size of the final display screen the audience will see. In the years of the Nazi occupation, Father Macha was a cofounder and active member of a secret scout organ- ization named Konwalia (Lily of the Valley) and a publisher of the underground newspaper Świt (Dawn) in which he wrote that the war would end soon and the Germans would certainly be defeated. He also managed welfare work in Silesia, providing assistance to the families of people arrested or persecuted by the Nazis. Th e aid he organized in the form of food and other necessities reached about 4,000 residents of Upper Silesia. Jan Macha was denounced to the Gestapo and subsequently ar- rested in July 1942. He was betrayed by an alcoholic who had demanded fi nancial assistance but had been turned away. For his underground activity to the detriment of the Th ird Reich, Jan Macha was sentenced to death by guillotining. Th e sentence was carried out on December 3, 1942. On the day of his death, Father Macha was 28 years old. From the day he was ordained to the time he was executed, he served as a priest for only 1,257 days. Dagmara Drzazga’s fi lm shows the short but heroic life of Jan Ma- cha, illustrating it with archival family photographs, school certifi cates, seminary and curia documents, and those found in historical archives.

Marchenkov Previous scholarly work on the director Terrence Malick has argued that his films – Badlands (1973), Days of Heaven (1978), The Thin Red Line (1998) and The New World (2005) – are, in varying ways, philosophical. This assessment is usually made via an analysis of the films in relation to a single philosophical metatext (frequently the work of Martin Heidegger) that transcends the concrete historical situation of both the given film and the historically existing viewer. This study seeks to intervene in this critical literature by theorizing an approach for understanding Malick’s films as works that do not merely illustrate already articulated philosophical themes but that rather function, in dialogue with the spectator, as an invitation to generate creative and historically situated meaning. The film medium, this study argues, is uniquely philosophical in that it exists in time (via the gradual entropy of the celluloid film print) as does the finite, historically embodied spectator.

    VIDEO PRODUCTION(207) UNIT -1 Introduction to Video Production Video production is the process of creating video by capturing moving images (videography), and creating combinations and reductions of parts of this video in live production and post- production (video editing). In most cases the captured video will be recorded on electronic media such as video tape, hard disk, or solid state storage, but it might only be distributed electronically without being recorded. It is the equivalent of filmmaking, but with images recorded electronically instead of film stock. Practically, video production is the art and service of creating content and delivering a finished video product. This can include production of television programs, television commercials, corporate videos, event videos, wedding videos and special-interest home videos. A video production can range in size from a family making home movies with a prosumer camcorder, a one solo camera operator with a professional video camera in a single-camera setup (aka a "one- man band"), a videographer with a sound person, to a multiple-camera setup shoot in a television studio to a production truck requiring a whole television crew for an electronic field production (EFP) with a production company with set construction on the backlot of a movie studio. Styles of shooting include on a tripod (aka "sticks")[1] for a locked-down shot; hand-held to attain a more jittery camera angle or looser shot, incorporating Dutch angle, Whip pan and whip zoom; on a jib that smoothly soars to varying heights; and with a Steadicam for smooth movement as the camera operator incorporates cinematic techniques moving through rooms, as seen in The Shining.

This technique has gained popularity in recent years due to the popularity and growing availability of drones. Backlighting (lighting design) The main source of light is behind the subject, silhouetting it, and directed toward the camera. Bridging shot A shot used to cover a jump in time or place or other discontinuity. Examples are falling calendar pages, railroad wheels, newspaper headlines and seasonal changes. Camera angle The point of view or viewing position adopted by the camera with respect to its subject. Most common types are High-angle shot (the camera is higher than its subject) Low-angle shot (the camera is lower than its subject) Close-up A frame depicting the human head or an object of similar size. Cut An editorial transition signified by the immediate replacement of one shot with another. Cross-cutting Cutting between different events occurring simultaneously in different locations. Especially in narrative filmmaking, cross-cutting is traditionally used to build suspense or to suggest a thematic relationship between two sets of actions. Continuity editing An editorial style that preserves the illusion of undisrupted time and space across editorial transitions (especially cuts). Deep focus A technique in which objects in the extreme foreground and objects in the extreme background are kept equally in focus.
